Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Gonzalez

Hi Daniel , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey in music and media began in Mexico, where I was born in 1989. My older brother, who sadly passed away, introduced me to a world of music that shaped my early years. We were immersed in the sounds of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Nirvana, and other iconic bands of the 90s and early 2000s. When my family moved to Manchester, TN, in 1999, I continued exploring my passion for music and discovered a love for video and photography. My best friend Javier Garza, a Nashville musician, and I would spend countless hours creating music, short films, and other content using his dad’s camera.

During my final two years of high school, life took a more serious turn. My parents separated, and I had to start working at an early age. Despite these challenges, I continued playing music and was in a band with my now brother-in-law. During this time, I also met my wife, Jessica. We connected instantly and remain happily married with three beautiful children.

After graduating high school, I joined the Air Force, serving for seven years in the Tennessee Air National Guard, with some time on Active Duty. Towards the end of my military career, I felt drawn to entrepreneurship. An opportunity to film a friend’s wedding ignited my passion for video production, and I launched Gonzalez Media Productions in 2017. To further hone in on my skills, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Video and Film from Nossi College of Art.
Over the years, my company has expanded its services beyond weddings to include businesses, musicians, and other production companies. We’ve been fortunate to stay busy year-round, traveling throughout the United States and Mexico for various projects. We’re also proud to be an approved partner of Fox and the first company to create commercials for their clients in Tennessee.

My passion for media production remains strong, and I’m committed to continuing to film, photograph, and produce as many projects as possible. I’ve also recently launched a new company called ChoreEase, which provides home services like cleaning, lawn care, and pressure washing to assist the elderly and busy individuals.
I’m deeply grateful for the Nashville community and the many wonderful people I’ve met along the way. It’s an honor to be highlighted in this magazine and to have the opportunity to share my story.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey to becoming a US citizen is rarely easy. Like many immigrants, I faced significant obstacles, from securing financing to navigating the complex immigration process. It took me four to five years to achieve citizenship. Additionally, understanding the intricacies of entrepreneurship presented another challenge. To overcome this, I pursued college courses and leveraged online resources to learn how to successfully manage a full-time business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Gonzalez Media Productions specializes in a wide range of production and photography services. We work with numerous realtors on a monthly basis, fulfilling their content needs for marketing. Additionally, we film and photograph musicians, create high-quality content for both corporations and small businesses, film high-end commercials, capture weddings and events in Nashville, and provide freelance support to other production companies.

We approach every project with passion and dedication. My team and I take our clients’ vision and purpose seriously, ensuring that their projects are successful and deliver a strong return on investment.

What distinguishes us is our commitment to customer service and professionalism. I hold my team to high standards, ensuring that we consistently deliver the best possible results. The core values I adopted during my time in the Air Force — integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do — are deeply ingrained in my business practices.
