Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Jones III

Hi Edward, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in New Haven, CT, but Nashville has been home since 1990. I mention where I’m from to highlight the journey that has brought me to where I am today. From a young age, my parents immersed me in music and fashion, laying the foundation for my future and shaping many aspects of my career. Thanks to their influence, and the guidance of key mentors like my Godmother—a successful manager in the music industry—I was able to fulfill my dream of working in the music business for many years.

My passion for fashion came from my father. He always stressed the importance of presenting yourself well, even during difficult times. His belief that it’s not about what you are, but who you are, has had a lasting impact on me. His influence inspired me to launch my own made-to-measure suit line, Levi J. Clothiers. The name of the line is paying homage to my father who passed away 3.5 years ago. Along with custom suiting I also offer style consultations and personal shopping. My mantra is simple: “let me style your lifestyle.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a creative at heart has brought its share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles I faced was not taking action. Often, people have great ideas but never act on them for various reasons, and I was no different. I let years pass before diving into the suit business, held back by insecurities that kept me from pursuing what I loved.

When I first started in the music industry, I was struggling financially. I was so broke that I went without car insurance, survived on spaghetti as my main meal, and often couldn’t pay my rent. Looking back, those were some of the best times of my life because I was living my purpose. To anyone reading this, appreciate the hard times—they are often your greatest lessons

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Beyond my work in the music industry as an Agent and Consultant, I spent several years as a Marketing Manager for a telecom company. One of my proudest achievements was expanding the company’s reach through more than just social media—I organized unique networking events and launched a podcast that attracted new business. I also founded a marketing agency within the company, where we managed accounts for small businesses, nonprofits, and political figures.

What sets me apart is my ability to think outside the box. Many companies overlook the potential of tapping into their creative side. There are countless ways for businesses to grow if they make the effort to differentiate themselves—and that’s exactly what I bring to the table.

How do you think about happiness?
My happiness comes from my friends and family—especially my wonderful wife and our 3-year-old daughter. I often say that my friends are like family, and they play a significant role in my life. Living fully also brings me joy. I love to travel, try new restaurants, listen to all kinds of music, and to watch my favorite sports teams.
