Check Out Emma Sheppard’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Sheppard.

Emma, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Since I first knew what a Podcast was I knew that I wanted to start one. While on the surface I come off as an introvert, when I’m in my element I can talk for hours. Speaking to people and reaching others is my element. I constantly want to work and grow myself so that I can inspire other people. I started my podcast just over a month ago and I am so grateful that it is already impacting others. Hearing people say that they listened to my podcast means the world to me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Growing up I was very shy. I always felt like I didn’t belong anywhere. This caused me to experience anxiety and depression. I convinced myself that things would never get better and I’d be stuck this way forever. Many people that I thought were my friends laughed about the idea of me starting a podcast. Being able to tell my story with my podcast is almost healing a part of me. I get text from people saying they appreciate my honesty in each episode. Being able to speak about my past has helped me in so many ways and has shown me there are other people that have gone through similar situations.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Gen Z podcaster hoping to inspire other young people through my podcast! I always thought I was too young to start a podcast but I’m so happy I pushed myself to pursue this. Podcasting is like my own personal journal that I get to share with the world.
