Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Douglas.
Eric, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I answered my call to preach in 2001, by 2004 I was pastoring my first church in Dickson,Tn. Although I knew I had the call to pastor, it was nothing I wanted to do. I would rather work in ministry without the pastoral responsibilities and the mental and emotional pain that it came with. I also received my Master of Theology degree in May of 2026. In 2013 I felt a leap in my spirit to plant a church but I remained spiritually impregnated with that vision for the next 5 years. In 2018 we launched The Fresh Oil Church in my hometown of Lebanon,Tn.
In August of 2026 we expanded and started a new location in the Old Hickory-Madison,Tn area. We are holding services at Kingdom Impact Church 4201 Old Hickory BLVD every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 5pm.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ministry is never a smooth road. There are always obstacles whether it be financial, spiritual or just everyday life that people have to experience. Although ministry can be very challenging it is also very rewarding when lives are transformed and souls are saved.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m retired from the federal government and an 8 year Army veteran. I’m almost 2 years in as a full time pastor.

I’m a loving husband and father. I love to see people succeed in life.
