Check Out Fabi Powell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabi Powell

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Meeting my late husband when I was 27 felt like the beginning of a beautiful journey. We quickly fell deeply in love, and our bond strengthened with each passing day. However, our happiness was abruptly overshadowed by his diagnosis of a rare form of cancer called Synovial Sarcoma. Despite the heartache, we decided to marry, cherishing every moment we had left. Tragically, he passed away just a month after our wedding in 2016. His loss left a profound void in my life, and I found myself grappling with unimaginable grief.

In the years following his death, I clung to hope and faith, praying for a second chance at life and happiness. Part of that hope involved a dream of having his child. I spent three of those seven years undergoing the emotionally and physically demanding process of IVF. After five egg retrievals and two failed transfers, I faced the heartbreaking reality that my dream would not come true. The decision to cancel my last transfer was one of the most difficult choices I had ever made, symbolizing the possible end of a chapter filled with both hope and sorrow.

Just when I felt I had reached the end of my rope, life surprised me. A month after halting my last IVF attempt, I was set up on a blind date with the man who would become my now husband. Our connection was immediate and profound, and we quickly realized we were meant to be together. On May 25th, we celebrated our love with a beautiful wedding, marking the beginning of a new and joyful chapter in my life.

Our joy expanded even further when we discovered we were expecting a baby boy, due in October of this year. This news felt like a miracle, a testament to the power of hope and the importance of never giving up on love. My husband Kyle has brought light back into my life, healing wounds I thought would never mend. His presence and our growing family are the best things that have ever happened to me.

My journey is one of resilience, faith, and the incredible power of love. Despite the immense pain and numerous challenges, I have found happiness and fulfillment beyond what I ever imagined. My story serves as a reminder that even in the darkest times, hope and love can lead us to brighter days and unexpected blessings.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been far from smooth. At 29, I lost my husband, Josh, and at 33 I lost my mother in law who felt like the only person who could understand my grief. Navigating life as a widow at such a young age, I felt robbed of our future plans.

For seven years, I prayed for a chance to find happiness again. During three of those years, I went through IVF in hopes of having my Josh’s baby with no success. They were three of the hardest years of my life but shaped me into the person I am today.

To sum it up, my road has been anything but smooth. However, I wouldn’t change a thing. The perspective I’ve gained through these hardships has led me to a life more beautiful and fulfilling than I could have ever imagined.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have been deeply immersed in the aesthetics industry for 14 years, initially as a medical aesthetician and now as a professional with a company specializing in aesthetic injectables. My extensive experience in this field has allowed me to develop a keen understanding of the nuances of aesthetic treatments and patient care.

One of the roles I cherish most is my work with a nonprofit organization I founded in honor of my late husband. This nonprofit is dedicated to supporting Sarcoma patients, providing them with the resources and emotional support they need during challenging times. This mission is very close to my heart, and I’m incredibly proud of the impact we’ve had on the community.

In addition to my professional work and nonprofit efforts, I actively share my personal journey publicly. Through speaking engagements and collaborations, I’ve been able to connect with and inspire others, encouraging them to live fully and love fiercely. These opportunities have been both humbling and rewarding, reinforcing my commitment to making a positive difference.

What sets me apart in my industry is my blend of technical expertise, personal resilience, and a heartfelt commitment to helping others. I aim to continue this journey, with hopes of writing a book one day to further inspire and support individuals facing their own challenges.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I foresee significant advancements and shifts in the aesthetics industry. One major trend will likely be the continued growth and innovation in non-invasive procedures. As technology advances, we can expect more effective and less invasive treatments, making aesthetic enhancements more accessible and appealing to a broader audience.

I also believe there will be a growing emphasis on supporting patients beyond the treatment room, much like the work we do with our nonprofit. Providing emotional support and building a community for patients will become an integral part of the aesthetic experience, fostering a more compassionate and supportive industry.

These shifts will collectively shape a more innovative, personalized, and holistic aesthetics industry, ultimately enhancing the quality of care and outcomes for patients.
