Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Middendorf.

Hi Isaac, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Music was always something that interested me as a child. I started making music in my bedroom when I was 14 years old just as a hobby sequencing beats on my iPad. Over the years that little hobby had turned into an obsession and I started learning how to record and play more instruments like piano, guitar, and bass.

I am currently studying recording technology at Trevecca Nazarene University. Like many people the pandemic really affected my mental health and music became my escape and almost a lifestyle for me. The story of my company goes back to the summer of 2021. I was playing lead guitar and producing the band I was in at the time. The guys were great and it was an awesome learning process for me. Unfortunately, we disbanded back in August which left me looking for new clients to work with.

That’s when I started Promethex Productions. We are a Nashville-based home recording studio that offers recording, production, mixing, and mastering services with radio-ready sound. I want to give artists a chance to show off their work in the most affordable no strings attached way. Our goal is to take any artist’s rough idea and turn it into the most beautiful song the world will ever hear.

We are always growing and adding to our lineup of talented artists every day.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part yes! Facebook groups like Yep Nashville and Nashville Musicians Group have been a primary target for marketing our company. Instagram and Tik Tok have been awesome sources as well.

Once you learn where all the people are, it becomes a matter of just reaching out and really promoting yourself which is an excellent self-confidence exercise in itself! Working with a new client is the best feeling in the world because it’s like looking at a blank canvas and figuring out how you can turn this person’s idea into a masterpiece.

You learn to build wonderful connections and push people to their full potential.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a music producer and recording engineer. I have over seven years of experience and specialize in a wide variety of genres.

I am also a multi-instrumentalist and can play piano, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, drums, and sing. I have had the privilege of working with multiple artists from different backgrounds over the past year and learning something new from them in the process. My company offers affordable rates and quicker turnarounds which sets us apart from the rest of the Nashville music scene.

We have developed a system that allows us to work quicker and more efficiently to ensure that our client’s music hits streaming platforms fast. We love to help turn artists into stars and watch them grow and improve with every song they release.

We are also working on expanding by offering several different bundles including graphic design and songwriting on top of our production.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Just do it. I waited seven years before I started my business because I didn’t think I was good enough. The reality is you gotta start early.

Even if you’re just starting out, market yourself like you are a seasoned professional to get people’s attention. Learn what’s trending and follow it. Once you play your cards right it’s just a matter of getting customers.

Have confidence in yourself and tell yourself you are the best even if some days you don’t think you are. The quality of your work matters but your confidence is the motor that drives your business to success.
