Check Out Jackson White’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackson White.

Jackson, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up surrounded by music—my dad, Bryan White, is a country music artist, singer-songwriter, and producer, and my mom, Erika Page White, is an actress. They’ve each had their own successful paths, and having them to look up to has been one of the biggest blessings while going into the arts myself. All growing up, I played basketball, soccer, ran track, and cross country. I grew up in the same town, and even the same house, building amazing friendships and experiences that really shaped my drive and who I am today. I’ve always loved traveling to different cities and performing my music as well as exploring new places and meeting people!

During high school, I received a scholarship to run Division I track at Samford University in Birmingham, where I also dove into the commercial music program there. I performed in a pop and R&B band throughout the year, and I joined Sigma Chi as well. I definitely made that first year as packed and memorable as I could. After my freshman year, I made the decision to move back to Nashville to pursue music full time, which was probably one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made after such an amazing year and making so many great friends. Looking back now, I’m so grateful I took that leap because it’s been incredible being back in town following my dreams and doing what I love every day.

One of the coolest experiences recently was getting to be on this season of American Idol, and receiving the golden ticket. It was such an amazing opportunity and truly a blessing. The show opened so many new doors for me, introduced me to incredible people, and led to friendships and memories that I’ll carry with me forever. Being part of something like that reminded me why I love music so much in the first place—getting to connect with people through something real.

Today, I stay grounded in positivity. I want to be a positive role model through my music and my platform, and I always hope my music leaves people feeling encouraged and inspired. My family is incredibly close—we love spending time together, and that connection keeps me grounded. I still run every day and stay active in sports, and I think that balance keeps me motivated creatively too. I perform regularly in Nashville and across America, both with my dad and on my own, collaborate with so many talented artists around town, and continue growing as a songwriter and performer. Artists like Justin Bieber and John Mayer have been huge inspirations for me, but I pull inspiration from all kinds of music and experiences. Music has always been a part of who I am, and I’m fully committed to continuing to grow, create, and make the most of every opportunity in front of me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’m really thankful for how smooth my road has been. But one thing was my decision to leave college and fully pursue music and it was definitely one of the hardest I’ve made. I had an incredible experience at Samford University in Birmingham, where I ran Division I track, was in the commercial music program, and joined Sigma Chi. I made amazing friends and memories there, so stepping away from that chapter wasn’t easy.

But since being back in Nashville, it’s been such an amazing experience. I’ve been really happy and thankful for how everything has been since being back, and I feel grateful for the direction things have taken. So many new doors have been opening in music, and I’ve been able to fully focus on what I love—performing, writing, and building my career here.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a pop artist based in Nashville, and I draw inspiration from all kinds of music. I love blending different sounds and influences, and at the core, I focus on creating music that feels real, melodic, fun and relatable. I’m very involved in my writing and collaboration process, and I’m constantly working with different artists and producers around town to keep evolving my sound and growing.

What matters most to me is using my platform in a positive way. I want my music and my presence to lift people up, encourage them, and be something that adds value to their lives. Being a positive role model is really important to me, and I try to lead with that in everything I do, whether it’s my music, my content, or how I show up for people.

What I’m most proud of is committing fully to this path and believing in myself to pursue music full time. That decision led me back to Nashville and opened up so many amazing opportunities, including performing regularly, collaborating with other artists, and even being part of American Idol, which was an incredible experience that brought new connections, growth, and doors opening that I’m really grateful for.

What sets me apart is that I come from a very creative and grounded background, growing up surrounded by music and performance, but also having a strong foundation in sports and discipline through running D1 track and athletics my whole life. I try to bring all of that into my artistry, and ultimately focus on creating music that feels authentic, positive, and meaningful to people.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
A few resources have really shaped how I think and stay inspired, both creatively and personally.

One of the biggest for me is the book Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. I love how it’s honest, reflective, and focused on perspective and growth, and it’s something I go back to often.

On social media, I really like following pages like @jacksdayinthelife and @higherupwellness. Their content and podcasts are very grounded in positivity, mindset, and living with intention, which is something I always apply in my own life and music.

Outside of that, I’m always drawn to content and conversations that are uplifting, creative, and real. Anything that encourages growth, gratitude, and a positive mindset tends to stick with me and influence how I show up in my day-to-day life and artistry.
