Check Out Jacob Bailey’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Bailey.

Hi Jacob, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story has alot of ups and downs that has pushed me to keep doing what I do. The dream began before the vision was set ,so every night after school I was home rapping in my room instead of going out with friends. After a while I started to realize that some of my friends shared the same dream as me, and the best part is we didn’t even need to right it down we just said what came to mind and the path opened making us feel chosen. As time moves on so does friends and family. I do this for the ones who can’t be here and myself. If it wasn’t for the inspiration I got from my friends and family I wouldn’t be rapping today. They helped build me up so I can carry on there memory.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There has been many challenges along the way, Mostly mental challenges. First we have to go back to 2020 the first year of struggles. This was a couple of months before I knew I wanted to rap. My cousin who was in his 20’s took his only life. It made everyone fill up with self hate everyone thought it was there fault ,Even though his path was set in his mind. We all still miss him and he was my main inspiration to rap. Only two years later my grandpa passed of stage 4 cancer it was a hard time for me and my family. He fought hard for a year ,so he could make sure he got to say goodbye to everyone. After Grandpa passed there was no more family reunions. He was the man holding the family together. Not too long after in 2023 my parents got divorced, after my parents got divorced I was stuck in the fog for awhile praying for a way out. Then one night it felt like I heard a voice that told me Jesus is the only way to redemption. After hearing that I started living by the lords words while still keeping it real. I’m still living by the lords words but bad things still can happen. We can’t change fate no matter how hard we try. On March 10th this year my aunt took her life so she could be with her son again. Even though it hurts I know she’s with tre again. I sometimes have dreams where it feels like we’re all together again. This is the reason I can’t give up and must push on for those who can’t.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I for now have a YouTube channel called Blixythehippie where I made raps and short stories to entertain the masses. Some of my raps are written some are freestyled. Id say with me rapping the best skill I have is rather audio editing or video editing. I also have a short stories series coming out soon. It’s going to be short stories following a different character each episode. It’s going to be called blixys tales only on YouTube.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I think the best lesson I learned is don’t underestimate yourself. Potential doesn’t go away it’s what you make it ,and how you or your people bring you up. Another thing is everyone is different and we need to respect people for their beliefs even if you don’t agree, because we don’t know what’s going on in there home or head.
