Hi Jennie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My musical journey began with deep passion for songwriting and performing, inspired by life experiences and love for country music. Balancing roles as a teacher and mother, I pursued dreams by writing heartfelt songs and performing at local venues. Over time, talent and dedication led to share the stage with national acts and play at major festivals, establishing presence in the country music scene.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have faced several challenges during this musical journey, including balancing career with the responsibilities of being a mother and teacher. Breaking into the country music industry, which is highly competitive and often dominated by established artists, required perseverance and resilience. I also navigated the financial and logistical difficulties of independently promoting music, booking shows, and growing audience while staying true to my artistic vision. I’ve received LOTS of bad advice as well.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My heartfelt songwriting, soulful voice, and authentic storytelling that resonates with audiences. What sets me apart is my ability to blend personal experiences with relatable themes, creating music that feels both intimate and universal. My background as a teacher and mother adds depth to artistry, bringing a unique perspective to my songs. Additionally, my dedication to live performances, where I connect deeply with fans, and my ability to navigate multiple roles in life while pursuing my passion, make me stand out in the country music scene.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Yes, I taken significant risks in pursuing my music career. Balancing responsibilities while dedicating myself to music required stepping outside of comfort zone and making sacrifices. Choosing to invest time and resources into this passion, often facing uncertainty in an industry known for its challenges, showcases my willingness to take risks. My decision to perform at major festivals and share the stage with national acts demonstrates my courage and commitment to pushing my career forward, even in the face of obstacles.
