Check Out Jessica Bell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Bell.

Hi Jessica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a heart for helping people feel seen, supported, and at home whether that was in a classroom or now, in real estate. I started my career as a teacher, first overseas in Egypt and South Korea, then later here in Tennessee. Teaching little ones taught me a lot about patience, flexibility, and how to bring calm and kindness into situations that can feel a little overwhelming (which, as it turns out, is just as useful when you’re buying or selling a home!).

I moved to Tennessee from Pennsylvania in 2022, not knowing exactly what this new chapter would hold- but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only did I fall in love with the area, but I also met my husband here. Building a life together in a place that once felt brand new has given me such a personal appreciation for what “home” really means. That experience is a big part of what led me to real estate- because I know firsthand how life-changing it can be to find the right place, and the right person to help you get there.

Now, I get to help folks all over Middle Tennessee find the homes where their lives will unfold—first holidays, unexpected dance parties in the kitchen, all of it. I approach my work the way I approached my classroom: with warmth, honesty, and a whole lot of heart. My goal is always to make people feel cared for, informed, and empowered- because I truly believe you deserve to feel good about this process.

Outside of real estate, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and our two very spoiled cats, Willow and Lemon. I’m also a big fan of breakfast for dinner, fresh school supplies, and accidentally spending two hours at Target when I only needed dish soap.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not exactly! But honestly, I think the challenges have made me a better agent—and a better person. When I transitioned from teaching into real estate, I knew I was following the right path, but that didn’t mean it was easy. I had to learn everything from scratch: contracts, negotiations, marketing, you name it. I was building something brand new, with no guaranteed paycheck- just a whole lot of hope, determination, and late nights spent figuring things out one step at a time.

There were definitely moments when I felt overwhelmed or unsure, but I never gave up. I kept showing up, kept learning, and leaned hard on the amazing people in my corner. I’ve been lucky to have mentors, colleagues, and clients who believed in me and helped me grow. And I’m especially thankful for my husband. He’s been my biggest cheerleader through every high and low. His support and encouragement have made all the difference, and I wouldn’t be where I am without him.

All of those experiences taught me how to stay calm in the chaos, how to solve problems quickly and thoughtfully, and how to walk with people through uncertain seasons. The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s prepared me to guide my clients with confidence, compassion, and a whole lot of heart.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a residential Realtor with Benchmark Realty LLC based in Middle Tennessee, and I help people buy and sell homes with clarity, confidence, and heart. I work with all kinds of clients- from first-time buyers to families upsizing, to folks relocating or saying goodbye to a longtime home. My goal is to make the process feel approachable, honest, and even a little fun (yes, real estate can be fun!).

People often tell me they feel immediately at ease working with me. I take that as the highest compliment, because I really do care deeply about the people I serve. I take the time to explain things thoroughly, answer every question, and make sure my clients feel heard and supported every step of the way. I don’t ever want someone to feel like they’re just a transaction. I want them to feel like they have a teammate who’s in their corner 100%.

I’m especially proud of the relationships I’ve built. The trust people place in me, whether they’re buying their very first home or making a big life transition, means everything. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone find a space that feels like home, or helping a seller close a chapter with peace and excitement for what’s next.

What sets me apart is that I bring my whole self into this work: the heart of a teacher, the eye for detail, the calm in the chaos, and the belief that kindness and honesty should be part of every transaction. I’m not here to pressure anyone. I’m here to guide, protect, educate, and celebrate with my clients. That’s the part of this job I love the most.
