Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Larriviere and Bre DeKuiper
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As pediatric therapists by trade, we wanted to intertwine our love of kids and our knowledge of pediatric development to create a space for community, growth, and play. We have loved getting to know the families, other vendors/educators in this space, and seeing the relationships and friendships develop between kids/parents alike. We are passionate about being able to provide a safe space and community for local parents to connect with one another. During the height of the pandemic, the isolation for people, especially those new to parenthood, hit hard. We all learned firsthand how crucial social support is as we navigate the challenges during each stage of parenthood. Bambino’s Playroom is a space for building that crucial network to lean on and laugh with.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road does not exist when owning a small business, haha! There is something new at every turn and, as a small business owner, you adjust to each curveball and use it as a learning opportunity to improve the experience for your clientele. Though we have extensive experience working with families/children, we are brand new to this type of business and have had to learn everything from inventory, to point of sale systems, market research for classes/pricing, building maintenance, and so much more!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Bambino’s Playroom is designed for children 0-5 years old and we strive to be a home for all things caregiver and child. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, making memories in the playroom, or visiting for an event, we aim to have something for everyone. In addition to open play and birthday parties, Bambino’s offers caregiver/child enrichment classes, infant resources, developmental screenings, art classes, music classes, lactation services, parent support groups, young family social events, meeting space rentals, and so much more.
As pediatric therapists by trade, we are dedicated to the enrichment of your child’s development and supporting the family as a whole. With native roots in Gallatin, we are thrilled to embed ourselves deeper into this flourishing community. Our vision for Bambino’s is to empower both young children AND their caregivers by providing a center for play, enrichment, and fellowship.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We believe the characteristic that has been most important to our success is our dedication to our mission. Our drive to build community and offer resources for local families has been the fuel behind our hard work. It is so rewarding to see the connections families have made and the joy on the children’s faces during the events held here at Bambino’s Playroom. By staying rooted in that mission, we have a strong purpose to continue learning and developing offerings to better serve our community.
