Check Out Jude Toy’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jude Toy.

Hi Jude, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up with a tremendous amount of imagination. I was always making up songs, humming melodies, and finding creative ways to entertain myself. I was lucky enough to hit the parental jackpot: my mother was an accomplished pianist, and my father was a brilliant mathematician. Between the two of them, I had plenty of creativity and plenty of logic—although, unfortunately, I didn’t always know what to do with either one.

If you have parents who love you, support you, and genuinely care about your life, you should be incredibly grateful. No one is obligated to give you anything, and I have always understood how fortunate I was to have parents who believed in me.

What I wasn’t quite sure about was how to turn all that creativity into a living. My mother had a wonderfully practical way of bringing me back to reality. Before almost every performance, she would say, “That’s great, honey. Now, will you be paid for this?”

She had a point.

Like many creative people, I took the long road to figuring out how music actually works—publishing, royalties, songwriting, placements, and all the business that exists behind the art. It has taken me a long time to understand the path, but honestly, I don’t think I would change a thing.

Over the years, I’ve had songs placed with artists, and I continue to have music placed in movies and television.

More recently, I’ve expanded my creative world by working with a publisher and writing a book. I’ve also ventured into the online space with two platforms: Jude Beauty & Lifestyle and The 2 Cool Aunts.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think anyone has a completely smooth road to success, and I’ve certainly encountered my share of obstacles along the way. I’ve chosen to view those challenges as opportunities for growth and improvement rather than setbacks.

One of my greatest opportunities for growth has been finding my own voice and learning to remain confident and resilient in an industry where rejection is a constant part of the process. I’ve worked incredibly hard to have my songs placed and recorded by different artists, and that journey has taught me the importance of persistence, patience, and believing in my work.

Another significant opportunity has been learning to reinvent myself and take my creativity into new spaces. I’ve explored comedy, beauty and lifestyle content, and I’m currently writing a book. Each of these experiences has allowed me to discover different sides of my creativity and connect with people in new ways.

I believe that if you’re a creative person, you shouldn’t limit yourself to just one avenue. There are countless ways to express your creativity, build something meaningful, and ultimately find success. Sometimes, the willingness to evolve and try something new is where the greatest opportunities are found.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I believe one of the things that sets me apart is my work ethic and my drive to pursue excellence in everything I do. I have always been willing to work hard, learn, evolve, and push myself creatively.

I am currently involved in several creative projects. I co-created 2 Cool Aunts (@2coolaunts), a comedy platform with #1 hit songwriter Kirsti Manna, where we bring humor, personality, and a fresh perspective to life and aging. I also have a beauty and lifestyle platform, @judebeautyandlifestyle, where I share makeup, fashion, skincare, and lifestyle tips.

I am best known for my work as a songwriter and for the success I have experienced in that world. I continue to write songs, but I have also expanded my creativity into a completely different form of storytelling: writing a book.

I have been incredibly blessed to meet and work with Robbie Grayson III and TRAITMARKER MEDIA on this project. It has been an exciting and rewarding experience, and I am genuinely loving the process of learning a new form of writing. Songwriting is often described as writing a three-minute novel, whereas a book requires an entirely different skill set—developing characters, building a story, creating a world, and taking the reader on a much longer journey.

For me, this has been another opportunity to reinvent myself while continuing to do what I love most: create. I am grateful to be able to express my creativity in new and different ways and to keep challenging myself to grow as an artist.

How do you think about happiness?
I am naturally a very happy person, and my faith plays a significant role in that. It keeps me grounded, grateful and focused on the things that truly matter.

Creating songs and music is another great source of joy for me, especially when writers connect creatively and something truly special comes together. There is a unique feeling that comes from watching an idea develop into a song that moves people.

I also love to laugh, which is one of the reasons my comedy duo, The 2 Cool Aunts, has been one of the most rewarding projects I have ever been part of. I truly believe laughter is healing. It has a way of bringing people together, lifting spirits, and reminding us not to take life too seriously.

I also genuinely enjoy creating beauty and lifestyle content. I believe we all want to feel beautiful, confident, and valued, regardless of our age. Through this platform, I have the opportunity to encourage women, share things I love, and hopefully make a positive difference in people’s lives.

For me, creativity is ultimately about connection—whether that happens through a song, a laugh, a story, or simply helping someone feel a little better about themselves.
