‘Give Me Something’ is K.O’s new single releasing in July 2021, following the song titled “Simple” released Jan. 2021.

With Poetic Justice vibes, 90’s r&b inspired flows, this song is sure to give you timeless feels.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing worth having comes easy.

Growing up a minority in Nashville was never smooth sailing, however K.O used those lessons and experiences to maneuver through not only the corporate world but also through the music industry. Losing cars, homes, and money didn’t mean it was time to throw in the towel for K.O, in fact it was used as fuel to keep going. For K.O believes that in life, there are no such things as failure, simply Blessings, Or Lessons.

Not to mention becoming a mother at such a young age came with its own trials, tribulations, and triumphs. From escaping death, public humiliation, and heartache. K.O believes in rising from the ashes like a phoenix.

“The older I get the more I realize no one has any idea of what they are doing and everyone is just pretending”. – Jim Carrey

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a Mother of two, I would have to say that’s the job I’m most proud of! I’m responsible for the foundation of a human being. How crazy exciting is that!?

9-5 vibes: I’m the operations manager for an opioid recovery clinic, believe me when I tell you, that takes a special human being like a Mom!

Radio personality for 96.7fm @yoconashville on Wed with co-host Bubba Sparkxxx
The founder and CEO of an entertainment company
Associates degree in Audio science
Founder and CEO of a bookkeeping business Kortney Books LLC

And last but not least, currently preparing to release a new project.

So far, Melanje’ ENT is releasing singles until K.O decides what she’s going to name the project.

New single “Give Me Something ” to be released 7/2021.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up was pretty interesting, I’ve always been told I was an old soul, or ” You’ve been here before”, and when I was in my singing group, I was known as the bossy one! Most of my close friends and family members say I’m very sweet and have a heart of gold. I have a natural love for people. And some days, I can’t stand the human race. LOL

I’m totally into the spiritual world, I’m a Pisces, I’m slick a nerd at heart, I love reading (when I have time), canoeing, writing, working out and spending time with friends and family. Growth and development are super important to me, if I feel stagnant I panic.

Born and raised in Nashville, I spent most of my childhood at my grandparent’s farm or in church. Huge Baptist church family. Let’s just say growing up bi-racial in the south had its challenges.

As an adult, I’ve lived all over Nashville, my fav area is East Nashville (East Nasty).

My fav saying “God always takes care of his people”. Strongly believe that!

If I had a personal mission statement, it would go like this.

“Treat people how you want to be treated, and don’t expect people to do anything you wouldn’t do yourself.”

Just a southern girl living out the best of both worlds.
