Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiyana Taylor.

Hi Kiyana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Konfident Klay started at a time in my life when I wasn’t feeling myself. I questioned so many things about myself and lacked the confidence I once had. I loved that earlier version of me and set out on the journey to becoming that person again.

I often remember myself wearing my favorite pair of earrings; so confident and ready to take on the world. This is where it started. I began making my own earrings and my friends and family loved them. I wanted everyone to experience that same confidence that I experience when I wore my favorite pair of earrings.

My mission for the future of Konfident Klay is to be a space that celebrates women through uniquely designed clay earrings that support, inspire, and strengthen their confidence and their stories. That’s why each pair is unique. No duplicates are ever made so that when you pick that perfect pair, you know it was made just for you.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been easy. One huge obstacle for me was a house fire my family and I experience this past March. We lost everything for the second time. I questioned whether or not I even wanted to start again. I didn’t have anything I needed to continue doing business.

Although that was tough, it changed me in a way. I became a phoenix, and after coming out of the ash, I found myself more inspired. More true to myself and feel more open to finding that confidence I once had. My earrings are better than ever and making them has made me so much happier.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I hand make clay earrings for every style and every occasion. Each pair I make is unique as I never make the same pair twice. When my Konfident Kuties find their pair, I want it to be true to them and their story so that they are able to Rock Their Konfidence.
