Check Out Levi Foster’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Levi Foster.

Hi Levi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got my start in music playing bluegrass festivals and jumping into local jam sessions. Growing up in an area where country music was everywhere, I was constantly surrounded by music, and that’s where I first caught the bug. Artists like Ricky Van Shelton, who also came from my hometown in Virginia, played a big role in inspiring me to take the leap to Nashville.

I made the move to Nashville in 2023, living out of my van until I signed with a publishing company later that year. From there, I shifted my focus toward writing and releasing my own music, and things began to build quickly. I went on to record my debut album in Nashville with producer Ken Coomer, which was released in fall 2025.

Following that project, I had the opportunity to record my sophomore album with producer Shooter Jennings. I recently released the first single, “Fat Elvis,” and the full album is set to drop later this year.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been an easy road. When I got to Nashville, I spent my first few months living out of my van, just trying to stay afloat in a city where everyone’s chasing the same thing. At the same time, I was figuring out the music business from the ground up, learning how it really works, what drives it, and why people operate the way they do. It was a tough learning curve, but it forced me to grow fast.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/songwriter that specializes in traditional/Americana/Country music. I am probably most known for my impressions that I do. I will do impressions of traditional country artists, like Jerry Reed, singing a popular pop song. Those really started to build traction on social media, but I would say I am most proud of my original music and this most recent record with Shooter Jennings. I think what sets me apart from others is that I don’t do what is considered “commercial” or for the radio

Any big plans?
Right now, I am really just getting started with this next album. I just released the first single off the record called “Fat Elvis”. The full album is called Appalachian Funk Tree, and it is slated to release this fall. I am super proud of the record and excited for everyone to hear it!
