Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddie Maye

Hi Maddie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in a creative family profoundly shaped my artistic journey. My grandpa, a passionate photographer, as well as my mom, were instrumental in creating a love for photography. I knew at a young age that art was one of the main ways I could express myself passionately. I started my journey in photography in highschool, taking photos of friends and family in the attempt to capture their sweetest memories. I have been professionally taking photos since 2019 and am beyond grateful for the growth my business has had, as well as how much I have grown as a person. Being able to work with so many amazing people has led me where I am today. I have created wonderful connections, learned and grasped so many important lessons that I believe is the only way I have been able to be so successful in my career.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have learned that with any work in the arts, it is inevitable to have struggles along the way. Some days, I am hard on myself and learn comparison is the greatest thief of joy. Making sure to remind myself that everyone’s on their own personal path helps to get past those bumps in the road.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a photographer and videographer specializing in cinematic storytelling. It is my passion to create/capture a story with my images and films. Using film as my inspiration, my work encapsulates a vintage feel. I am so proud of how far I have come in my journey as a creative, as it is such a hard industry to be in and grow in.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was when I would make movies and videos with my friends. We would dress up and write scripts and create videos- and it was some of my favorite times.
