Check Out Mary-Clair’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary-Clair.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m born and raised in Franklin, TN, and started writing music at a young age. My dad, Scott Brickell, is a manager for several christian artists, so growing up I was always surrounded by christian music. We would always be at the studio, or a concert, so I was exposed to so much at such a young age. As I grew up, my love for music grew, and I released my first song at 19 years old. It was a ballad I had written about my friend that passed away. Soon after that, I released a handful of more singles, and eventually released my debut album in June of 2025. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to perform at music festivals, and continue to write and record music in Nashville, TN. I just recently released a song with CCM rapper Steven Malcolm called “Rise Up”, a perfect song for the summer!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Over the years, I have been through a lot. When I started releasing music in college, I was walking through a lot of comparison issues, but I was able to find an outlet by writing about it. Me and my family also recently walked through a divorce, and although it was heartbreaking at first, I’ve already seen great ways that God has used our heartbreak for His good. I always tell people that my music is an honest look at my heart. If I walk through depression, or anxiety, or loneliness, I write about it. I hope those that listen to my music will find peace and comfort knowing they aren’t alone!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN

I am 22 years old

I make christian/singer/songwriter/pop music.

I’ve released songs with Tedashii and Steven Malcolm.

I released my debut album in June of 2025 called “Enough”

I’ve had 4 songs played on the radio all across America.

How do you define success?
I define my success by how much time I am spending with the Lord. If I am able to slow down and spend time with Him often, I know my heart is in a good place, and that is what success means to me. Don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of big dream, but there is nothing that will satisfy my heart more than spending time with Christ.
