Check Out Mia Logan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Logan.

Hi Mia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Mia Logan, Country singer/songwriter, grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She ventured to Nashville in 2018 to pursue a career in music at Belmont University. Mia studied vocal performance with a minor in bassoon. Her first debut single, “Day One Sober,” was released in September 2023. Mia’s true passion for music is displayed through multiple lenses, as she enjoys playing various wind instruments in addition to singing, like: bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, and flute. In her free time, Mia enjoys hiking, photography, and fitness. You can enjoy Mia’s latest release, “The Villain,” on all streaming platforms, and stay up to date on new music and shows on her instagram and facebook pages @mialoganmusic.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have always been open about my struggles with mental health. I’ve battled weight loss, eating disorders, addiction, and depression. I have my full stories written out about each of these on instagram posts that I’ll link below.

I’ve also had multiple knee surgeries. Between that and the eating disorders I became very interested in fitness and earned my NASM-CPT. I hope to work with weight loss clients, eating disorder clients, and non athlete injury recovery clients.

My mental health I have not shared too much about, but I am very proud of the fact that I have not tried to take my life since 8/1/2020. I find confort in my Christian faith, fitness, and music.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am trying to get into the country music industry. I have loved all types of music though. I began classical training at age 13 and sang wedding masses for my local church. By the time I got to college, I had already played a lot of wind instruments (saxophone was my favorite) but I decided to minor in bassoon performance so I could play with the Belmont orchestra. As of right now I am playing shows at some hotels and coffee shops. I also play writers rounds and am working to start a podcast with my friend Sara Mae Chilton who runs a page called @musiciansofnashville. I highly recommend checking that page out. I’m working on some new music and looking to release two new songs in the near future. I hope to get the opportunity to tour alongside another musician as an opening act. That is my current big goal.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I value authenticity. I hope that throughout my career I am always able to stay true to myself. I enjoy having difficult conversations and challenging myself to take on new perspectives and bridge gaps between disagreements. I like to think I’m an open minded person
