Check Out Morgan Snellings’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Snellings.

Hi Morgan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up with a camera in my hand. My Nana gave me disposable cameras all the time when I was little and I would take pictures of everything in sight! They went on every field trip and vacation I went on!

In my freshman year of high school, I got a nice camera for Christmas. I took it everywhere! Once I learned how to use it and was confident in using manual mode, I upgraded to a nicer camera and better lenses! From there, I started taking paying clients. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’m so thankful for where I’m at today!

If you would’ve told me even a year ago that I would be doing as much with photography that I am today, I wouldn’t have believed it! I’m seriously so blessed.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been smooth sailing! There were times where I didn’t book anything for months! I’ve also compared myself to a lot of other photographers and business owners through social media. It took so long for me to get out of my own head!

I remember scrolling and seeing other photographers’ work and I’d be like what am I doing wrong? I’d go full doubt mode. Once I learned good things take time and had faith in myself, things took off!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m most known for taking photos of couples and weddings! Each and every single couple I’ve had have been amazing and treated me like family! I’ve branched into elopements more recently and have loved every single one of them!

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing people may not know about me is I’m partially color blind! Not color blind in the way you may think thankfully! I have trouble with shades of colors and determining the difference between similar colors and shades! I usually get reds and pinks mixed up and blues and blacks mixed as well! Different tints are also hard for me to see!
