Check Out Nash Brothers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nash Brothers.

Hello Nash Brothers, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The three of us brothers grew up with the love of music. In our teenage years, this love of music turned into us all teaching ourselves how to play our instruments, plus some! Joe Nash specializes in guitar and singing, Tristen Nash specializes in bass and singing, and Lloyd Nash’s specialty is drums. After a few years of “jamming out” in our home, we decided to pursue a music career in 2016. We got the opportunity to play in the Battle of the Bands at the Ponderosa Lounge, where we came in 2nd place. This was a wonderful and humbling experience for us. We met several other musicians in our area who helped to guide us down the right path. Since then, we have come out with our EP and currently in talks with a producer about recording a new album in the near future.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a fairly smooth road for us. In 2019, our equipment trailer was stolen with everything in it, so we have had to slowly rebuild from there. We were lucky enough to have some very generous donations of equipment after this experience to help us get back out there. As with most people and businesses, Covid-19 definitely put a damper on things. With all “non-essential” businesses being forced to close their doors, we had to put a pause on music for a year.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are known for putting on a highly energetic show by playing Country music with a Rock twist. We always try to entice the crowd to dance or involve them with certain songs by encouraging them to sing along. We are fun to be around, very down-to-earth and friendly, and always try to make everyone feel welcome!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We learned to never give up. No matter what tries to bring you down, whether it’s a person or a global pandemic, you need to fight your way to the top to achieve your goals. Following your dreams doesn’t always come easy, but if you really want it, it’s well worth the fight.
