Check Out Rebecca Hinton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Hinton.

Hi Rebecca, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My path to creating Soul Serenity Nashville was really born out of both personal healing and years of working closely with people in transformational spaces. Before starting Soul Serenity, I spent over 17 years building my fitness business, b.fab.fitness, in the Nashville area. I’ve always been passionate about creating community, helping people feel seen, empowered, more at home in their bodies, and more connected to themselves and the people around them.

Over the last five years, my own life experiences led me into a much deeper healing journey. Walking through betrayal trauma, relationship recovery, and personal transformation changed how I move through the world on many levels. Along the way, I discovered breathwork and became deeply passionate about nervous system healing, emotional wellness, and the mind-body connection. I experienced firsthand how powerful it can be when healing includes the mind, body and soul. That journey ultimately inspired me to create Soul Serenity Nashville in 2024. Today, I facilitate transformational breathwork experiences and provide relationship coaching for individuals and couples who are navigating healing, growth, life transitions, and reconnection (both with themselves and with each other.). I am also in the process of launching The Healing Circle to offer much needed support and community to women navigating life after betrayal.

What makes this work especially meaningful to me is that it’s not just something I studied; it’s something I’ve lived. I know what it feels like to rebuild yourself from the inside out, and I feel incredibly honored to now walk alongside others as they do the same. I believe that the pain we heal in ourselves can become medicine that we can share with others. I’m also in the process of becoming a Mastery Method Coach through, and very excited about the direction Soul Serenity is growing, especially expanding into deeper support for couples healing, individual coaching and relationship work.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges from a business standpoint has been introducing something relatively new to this area. While breathwork has grown significantly in recent years, it still isn’t widely understood in many communities, including here in the Nashville area. A lot of people hear the word “breathwork” and either have no idea what it is or assume it’s simply breathing exercises for relaxation. In reality, the type of transformational breathwork I facilitate can be a powerful tool for emotional healing, nervous system regulation, stress reduction, self-discovery, and processing stored emotions in the body. Because of that, a large part of building Soul Serenity Nashville has involved education and trust-building. I’ve had to help people understand not only what this work is, but also why it matters and how deeply impactful it can be. Anytime you’re introducing something outside the mainstream, there’s naturally a learning curve.

On a personal level, stepping into this work has also required a lot of courage and vulnerability. Much of what led me here came through my own healing journey, including experiences with betrayal trauma, relationship recovery, and rebuilding myself emotionally from the inside out. Starting a business rooted in that kind of deeply personal work can feel exposing at times, especially when you genuinely care about the people you’re serving. At the same time, those challenges have reinforced how meaningful this work really is. Watching people reconnect with themselves, process emotions they’ve carried for years, or begin to feel safe in their own bodies again reminds me why I started. Even though it’s been a slower process at times because the work is still relatively unfamiliar to many people, I truly believe awareness around nervous system healing and embodied wellness is growing, and I’m excited to be part of bringing more of that into this community.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Soul Serenity Nashville, I specialize in transformational breathwork experiences and relationship coaching for individuals and couples who are navigating healing, growth, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or relationship challenges. My private one on one and group breathwork sessions are curated to your unique journey from the playlist to the guided meditation. All of my work is rooted in the belief that real transformation happens when we include the body and nervous system in the healing process. So many people are carrying stress, grief, anxiety, trauma, disconnection, or emotional pain in ways they don’t even fully realize. Our bodies remember everything that happens to us. Breathwork can create space for people to reconnect with themselves, process emotions safely, and begin moving out of survival mode and into a greater sense of clarity, peace, and wholeness.

My highest priority is creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and emotionally supported while also gently challenged toward growth. Clients often tell me they appreciate that my approach feels grounded, compassionate, and genuine rather than clinical or overly “woo.” I think my background, life experience, and intuitive nature all come together in a way that helps people feel comfortable fairly quickly.

What I’m most proud of is the depth of transformation I’ve witnessed in people in a relatively short amount of time. Watching someone reconnect with hope, release years of emotional weight, soften toward themselves, or begin communicating differently in their relationships is incredibly rewarding. I never take for granted the trust people place in me when they allow me to walk alongside them during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Oh my goodness, there have been so many. For a long time, like many women, I moved through life focused on performing, achieving, caregiving, and holding everything together. From the outside, things looked successful while internally I was disconnected from my own needs, emotions, and nervous system. What I eventually realized, both personally and through the work I now do with clients, is that true transformation begins when we slow down enough to actually listen to ourselves honestly and compassionately. I’ve also learned that healing is far less about “fixing” ourselves and far more about creating safety, awareness, and acceptance. We can’t think or even talk our way out of pain, anxiety, grief, or trauma. Our bodies are holding the energy of these experiences too. When we allow ourselves to include the body, breath, and nervous system in the process, our emotional world can start to shift in a much deeper and more sustainable way. These have been really important lessons, but I would say the biggest lesson for me has been that some of the experiences we would never choose can ultimately become our greatest teachers and catalysts for growth as we travel through life.
