Check Out Roe Archer’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roe Archer.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
I have had the vision to start my own apparel business for several years now, and I just got brave enough to do it! I also struggled financially to start a business due to living in poverty before moving to Tennessee. After several years of saving and figuring life out–I was now after to fund my business.

I started my business in 2021, but I did not officially launch until March of this year. I had been praying about if I would do it and when. I started purchasing equipment and blank clothing. I had made plans with some folks to help me with all the details regarding the website. But they ended up backing out at the last minute. So I build my website. I have a dream of being my boss! So I am now making that dream come true by starting small. I will be updating my website with new merch soon.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road at all. I would be lying if I said that. Ha! The road has been challenging. There are a lot of things that I am just now learning. I thought that many of my Facebook friends and followers on Instagram would have made purchases, but they have not. That is ok, so my focus now is trying to market to folks I do not know or do not know me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I decided that I was going to create a design that represented me and my personality. I am known for rocking my natural hair and different frames.

I created three brands and right now my focus is on Grace Chaser Apparel. This brand represents my faith. I believe that everyone deserves second and third chances. We are all flaw humans and are in need of Grace. I got a vision last summer to come up with this brand after listening to my Pastor Chris Malone. Luke 23:40 is my verse that backs this brand. I will launch my other two brands later. Stay tuned…

I made shirts for other small businesses and artists who hit me up for their designs on apparel, and I also created my designs/logos and put them on hoodies, shirts, and hats.

What set me apart from others? That is an excellent question, but I do not know how to answer that, if I am honest. I know that I am a hard worker. I aim to be my boss and give customers the best experience when purchasing from me.

What makes you happy?
I am encouraging others to be and do their best in life. Growing up, I did not have many people believe in me, so whenever I get the opportunity to build someone up, I do. Empowering people brings me happiness.
