Hi Savannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into makeup artistry started in middle school, where I developed a love for makeup through YouTube tutorials and experimenting on friends and family.

When I stepped away from my full-time job to care for my husband, who was battling leukemia, I realized this was the time to fully embrace my dream.

Today, I run ‘Makeup by Sav’ in Middle Tennessee while balancing my family life. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help my clients feel confident and beautiful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business while managing family responsibilities, especially with my husband’s health struggles, has been challenging. Balancing my full-time job while growing my makeup business was difficult, and there were times I had to make tough decisions about where to focus my energy.

Another challenge was building a client base from scratch. It took time to gain trust and establish my reputation, but I was determined to push through. Even now, running a business in an industry that’s constantly evolving requires me to stay adaptable and keep learning.

Despite these struggles, each challenge has taught me valuable lessons and made me more passionate about my work. I’m grateful for how far I’ve come and the clients I’ve had the privilege of working with.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in bridal, pageant, and special event makeup, helping clients feel their most confident and beautiful on some of their most important days. My passion is enhancing natural beauty while creating looks that reflect each person’s unique style. I’m known for my attention to detail and for making sure every client feels relaxed and pampered throughout the process.

What sets me apart is my ability to combine technical skill with a personalized approach. I truly listen to my clients’ needs, tailoring every look to suit their features, style, and vision. I pride myself on creating flawless, long-lasting makeup that ensures my clients feel stunning all day or night.

What I’m most proud of is the connections I’ve built with my clients. Seeing the joy and confidence they have when they look in the mirror is the most rewarding part of my job. Knowing that I’ve played a role in making someone feel beautiful is something I’ll always cherish!

How do you define success?
To me, success isn’t just about financial achievements or recognition; it’s about the impact I have on others and how I feel about the work I do. Success is helping my clients feel confident, beautiful, and empowered, and knowing that I’ve played a role in making their special moments unforgettable. It’s also about balancing my personal and professional life in a way that brings me fulfillment and peace.

In my business, success means growing my craft, continuously learning, and staying true to my values while building lasting relationships with my clients. Ultimately, I measure success by the joy and satisfaction I get from doing what I love and the positive influence I have on the people around me.
