Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi, I’m Treva Knight I own and operate Treva’s Tasty Treats out of Hendersonville, Tn for the last 2 years. I have always loved making chocolate-covered strawberries and treats for my family and friends, whether it’s during the holidays, a special event, or just for a fun movie night at home.
My family began encouraging me to sell my chocolate-covered treats to others to make their family night or special occasion sweet also, so that’s what I did. I made a simple post on social media advertising my treats and it took off from there!
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a pretty smooth road.
With anything, you always have to apply yourself and work hard for what you want. I also enrolled and graduated from Corner to Corner last year, this Academy is designed and gives the tools to help entrepreneurs open and run successful small businesses.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I dip all my chocolate-covered strawberries & treats with love in white or milk chocolate. It can be a simple drizzle, a marble design, or topped with a variety or toppings. I offer an abundance of treats from cupcakes, cake pops, cheesecake shooters, cocoa bombs, breakable hearts, and chocolate covered pretzels that can all be placed in the color or theme of your liking. I strive on making quality and affordable pretty treats and look forward to making all of my customers next occasion sweet. It gives me joy receiving calls/ texts telling me how much they enjoyed their treats.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Lately, I’ve been enjoying self-care, spiritual books, and podcasts. A few… Soulful Answers, Pathway to Awakening, The Ramsey Show, and Get Motivated.
