Check Out Vicki Myers-Fults’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vicki Myers-Fults.

Hi Vicki, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got my start in the film industry as a casting director in 2017, when Brittany Goodwin asked me to help cast “If You’re Gone”, a movie she had written. That opportunity opened the door to casting several more of her films and helped me build valuable connections in the industry. Through Brittany, I met writer and director Ricky Burchell of Ricky Burchell Studios/B4 Entertainment and Douglas Maddox of DBM Films, both of whom I’ve since collaborated with on multiple projects. I’ve also worked with Heroic Pictures and Marty Jean-Louis of 24 Flix. Before transitioning into film, I began my career in live theatre, where I gained experience as both a stage manager and casting director. I am grateful for every connection and every project that has helped shape my path in this industry. As I continue to grow my network, I look forward to bringing powerful stories to life through casting.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road. However, in the beginning, one of the biggest struggles I faced was not having enough casting credits to my name. Breaking into the industry without a long résumé made it challenging to gain trust and secure new opportunities. But despite the obstacles, I stayed committed to the work and relied on faith to guide my path. God has continued to bless me by opening doors I never expected and. connecting me with incredible filmmakers, casting opportunities, and projects that have helped build my experience and grow my reputation. Each film I’ve worked on has added to my journey, and I’m grateful for how far I’ve come and excited for what’s still ahead.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a casting director in the film industry, I work closely with producers and directors to find the right actors who bring characters to life.

I specialize in casting for faith-based and family-friendly films.

I am known for my strong work ethic, my eye for talent, my ability to connect with actors, and my commitment to making the casting process smooth and collaborative for everyone involved.

I am most proud of helping to build a cast that not only fits the vision but also enhances the entire production. It is amazing to see how the right casting choices come together on screen.
Watching the finished project and seeing how the actors brought their characters to life is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

My work ethic, along with my faith-driven approach to every opportunity, sets me apart from others. I don’t just look for someone who fits the role on paper; I try to understand the character and find the actor who can bring that to life in the most genuine way.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Having a good eye for talent is key, but also staying grounded in my faith and having a strong work ethic have been important contributing factors to my success. I approach every project with integrity, a collaborative spirit, and a deep respect for storytelling. I have also found that being organized and dependable makes a huge difference, especially when working on tight deadlines.
