Community Highlights: Meet Amanda Vesey | VZCharity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Vesey. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Amanda Vesey Cambria is an American clothier and businesswoman with a wide range of custom apparel clients including business professionals, athletes, and artists. Her unique background encompasses both creative and business pursuits. Cambria excels in creating high-quality custom menswear for people with a purpose and plays a key role in the evolution of her clients’ appearance. The majority of her clientele are men who are titans of industry and leaders in their respective fields.

In 2012, Cambria established her company in both California and New York City and launched the brand Vesey Exclusive. Armed with experience in corporate retail and manufacturing, she was uniquely suited to create and develop the business. Cambria endeavors to understand what inspires her clients, which enables her to design uniquely for them. She quickly began building her list of loyal and longstanding clients such as Oracle founder Larry Ellison, professional athletes, famous artists, neurosurgeons, and authors.

Although initially focused on men’s suits and accessories, Cambria understood that full wardrobe service was critical for her clients, and now Vesey Exclusive also offers personal shopping, event and PR styling, and wardrobe alterations and maintenance.

Skilled in many disciplines, Cambria’s unusual background includes officer training in the U.S. Air Force, working as a Certified Public Accountant, and professional modeling and dance which informed her understanding of designing for the individual. She holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington and studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She also holds an AA (Associate of Art) in Interior Design from Belleview College.

Raised in the Northern California countryside, Cambria learned to sew from both of her grandmothers, making curtains, clothing, quilts, and art. Traveling the world for her clients, Cambria established roots in the great Nashville, TN in early 2020 as she began designing more custom denim and western-wear inspirations as well as working with some great Bay-Area creatives who relocated to the Nashville area.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So much struggle! Working with all sorts of people and being reliant and many different stages of the lead generation to the product delivery process was challenging.

I would say the most challenging issues were supply chain-related or operations issues, delays, communication errors, complete changes in production, shipping/customs, etc.
