Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Gray.
Hi Amy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Absolutely. I started my first company, LESS, during what I call my “survival era.” I was in a personal crisis after I experienced some earth shattering life events, went through a subsequent divorce and eventual financial ruin. I was faced at the time with raising three boys, and trying to rebuild a life from the ground up. I needed to make money—and fast—so I leaned into what I was good at: hard work and bringing order to chaos. Organizing gave me a way to serve others while slowly putting the pieces of my own life back together. Although chaotic behind the scenes personally, It was truly a cathartic time, and it gave me a newfound purpose. What began as a necessity quickly grew into a sought-after brand—and today, LESS continues to thrive as a core part of my business portfolio.
As the work expanded and my vision evolved, I launched The Haus of Gray —a more aspirational and holistic chapter in my professional life. It’s a full-service luxury concierge firm that combines real estate, move management, interior design, and lifestyle transition services. It was born from a deeper calling: to offer a cohesive and elevated moving experience unlike anything in the Nashville market but also to facilitate how people move through life—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
I’ve built my business by giving myself grace and honoring my own evolution. I’ve come a long way, and I can see a direct reflection of that progress in my work. I no longer see setbacks as endings—I see them as redirections. Every chapter, even the painful ones, shaped the vision behind The Haus of Gray. It’s more than a business—it’s a reflection of resilience, reinvention, and the belief that with the right support, any transition can become a transformation.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been plenty of twists, setbacks, and seasons where I felt like I was just trying to keep my head above water. I was in a phase of life where I was starting over completely—with three boys to take care of, no real financial cushion, and a lot of uncertainty. I didn’t have a grand plan. I just knew I had to keep going, stay steady for my kids, and find a way to build something from where I was.
That season forced me to get clear on what mattered. It pushed me to simplify, focus, and realign with the kind of life I actually wanted to build—for myself and my family. I wanted a life that didn’t just look good from the outside, I wanted it to FEEL good too. The path hasn’t been linear, but every challenge shaped how I move through the world now—with more presence, purpose, and faith. Now I know with every fiber of my being that our hardest chapters in life are a part of something bigger. Also being a recovering perfectionist, I truly was forced to do things I’ve never done and feel uncertain and do it anyway. That was key for me. Forward movement , no matter how small.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the heart of what I do are two brands that truly complement each other: LESS, which focuses on luxury home organization, and The Haus of Gray, a concierge-style firm offering high-end real estate, design, and lifestyle transition services. Together, they allow us to support clients through some of the biggest changes in their lives—with clear direction, intention, and a personalized approach that meets them exactly where they are.
We are known for our ability to handle the logistics while also creating calm, intentional environments that reflect who our clients are and how they want to live. These aren’t just transactions—they’re deeply personal experiences. Being the first of its kind as a lifestyle transition management firm in the uber luxury niche, my goal with Haus is to manage not only the logistical, but also the emotional sides of transition. We bring structure and beauty, but also a sense of steadiness to what can be a very overwhelming process. We give our clients the luxury of being on the other side of the country and still feel connected to their project and feel complete stress relief from the quite arduous task of a life transition.
What I’m most proud of is the level of trust we’ve built. Our clients let us into their lives during big, often vulnerable moments. And we don’t take that lightly. Our goal is always to leave them better than we found them—not just their homes, but their whole experience of the transition.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
That clarity comes from movement. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start—you just have to be willing to take the next right step. There were so many moments when I felt unsure (and still do at times), but I kept going anyway. That’s what builds confidence over time: doing the hard things, one decision at a time.
I’ve also learned that honoring your inner life—your intuition, your peace, your alignment—matters just as much as the external stuff. It’s easy to look at the homes, the cars, the outward success of others and assume they have it all together. But the truth is, no one does. Just because something looks good on the outside doesn’t mean it feels that way on the inside.
In my work, we support clients through deeply personal transitions—many of them living high-profile, high-net-worth lives. From celebrity homes to luxury estates, the pressure to appear put-together is often high. But behind the scenes, the needs are deeply human. I’ve experienced both abundance and uncertainty, and that perspective helps me connect with people on a real level. It’s not just about creating a beautiful space—it’s about making sure it actually feels like home.
