Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born in Tennessee with Cleveland roots, I hit the road at 18 and lived life on my own terms. From LA to Miami, and spending over a decade in the Nashville scene, I’ve been fortunate to experience the music world from different angles. My journey started in 2001 at Spinnaker Beach Club in Panama City Beach, where I assisted in booking bands. As my network grew, I worked with bars and clubs across the US, bringing top talent to the stage. Music is more than just a passion – it’s my lifeblood. It speaks to you on a deeper level, transforms the good and bad in life, and gives me purpose.
As a radio DJ for The Sound 228, I host ‘Down the Rabbit Hole,’ a show that dives into the depths of rock. Our station and rock magazine have been nominated for prestigious awards like the Josie Music Awards and Third Coast Music Awards. I’m proud to be part of a community that celebrates the best of rock. Giving back to your scene is what’s important and that’s what Full Circle and The Sound strive to do.
I received a degree from the University of Tennessee in Criminal Justice and Sociology, with a minor in art, it might seem unconventional, but it’s given me a unique perspective. Working at a law firm lets me merge my skills and support bands in the industry both on the music side as well as the legal side. Art allows me to thrive in promotions and marketing which is a big part of what we do. I love watching unsigned artists grow and reach new heights. With 14 bands under Full Circle Entertainment’s wing, being part of this scene gives me purpose and helping catapult our bands to a label is the ultimate goal. Life threw me a curveball 7 years ago with a Lupus diagnosis, but music has taught me to smile through the pain and keep pushing forward. It doesn’t matter how I feel I don’t let it get the best of me and I work through the highs and lows of dealing with a illness that most know very little about.
Now that my kids are grown, my life consists of – concerts, festivals, and shows. When you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. It’s a passion that drives me, and I’m excited to see where it takes me and our incredible team. Speaking of teams I feel like we have one of the best ones out there. We all work together and thrive by not focusing on us, and placing focus on what is important which is our bands and the music. With Full Circle Entertainment, and The Sound we’re on a mission to nurture creative talent and take the leap into the unknown. The path ahead might be uncertain, but one thing’s for sure – we’re ready to rock!!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the toughest lessons I’ve learned in the industry is that, unfortunately, not everyone takes me seriously as a woman. I’ve encountered my fair share of skepticism and bias, and it can be frustrating to feel like I have to work harder to prove myself. However, I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge. Instead, I’ve chosen to use these obstacles as fuel to drive me forward. I’m a strong and determined individual, and I refuse to let anyone or anything hold me back. My approach is simple: I focus on my passion, my work, and my artists. I’m committed to delivering exceptional results and providing top-notch support to those I work with. And I’m proud to say that my perseverance and dedication have earned me the respect of my peers and the trust of my clients. So, to anyone who doubts me or underestimates my abilities, I say: watch me. I’m just getting started, and I’m ready to take on whatever challenges come my way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As the co-owner of Full Circle Entertainment, I’m living a dream that literally began with a dream. One night, I had a vivid vision that sparked the idea of starting this company, and remarkably, the name “Full Circle Entertainment” was revealed to me in that same dream. This divine inspiration set me on a journey to turn this vision into reality. At Full Circle Entertainment, we’re passionate about empowering independent artists to achieve their dreams. As a management and booking agency, we provide comprehensive support to emerging artists, guiding them from the early stages of their career to the moment they get signed with a label. We primarily focus on securing performance opportunities for artists, while also handling related administrative tasks and logistics from releases to forming band LLC’s. Booking agents, act as intermediaries, negotiating contracts, scheduling performances, and managing the logistical details of appearances. Our name, Full Circle, reflects our commitment to walking alongside these talented individuals, watching their journeys unfold, and helping them make a lasting impact in the music industry. We go when them through all phases of this industry which is what we love about what we do.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Full Circle Entertainment’s been blessed with an all-star crew that’s had our backs since day one. First off, my co-owner Kevin Harris – the FM radio vet and mastermind behind The Sound 228 radio station. He’s the real deal. He helps with all distribution of new releases for our bands as well as booking shows and festivals.
Then there’s Dawn McIntyre, our lead booking agent – a force of nature with a heart of gold. She’s got our bands’ best interests at heart, and her passion is pure. She listens to the bands needs and meets them where they are everytime. Her networking skills are unmatched and she along with the rest of our booking team keep everything moving.
Sabrina Graley, booking agent and owner of Creative Nightmares, is the merch queen who brings our bands’ visions to life. She’s also a sound engineer extraordinaire, bringing the noise to every show. Talk about a rockstar this woman is a beast and can stand next to any man in the sound field.
Pepper Gomez of Wake Up Music is the label powerhouse who’s taken our bands to stratospheric heights. She’s a mentor, a leader, and a true champion of women in the industry. What she does with her label is pure magic, she just got recognized as a voting member of the Recording Academy, home to the prestigious GRAMMY Awards.
Last but not least, we’ve got Riff Media Group – the dynamic duo of Lisa Wills and Matt James. They’re the social media and marketing wizards who make our bands shine online. With their expertise, we’re reaching new fans and breaking boundaries.
Together, we’re unstoppable. We’re the dream team, and we’re ready to take the music world by storm!
