Community Highlights: Meet Brian Grammer of D&D Painting Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Grammer.

Hi Brian, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started my painting career when I was about 17 years old and quickly realized how much I enjoyed all aspects of the painting industry. After a few years of working and learning with others in the field I took the leap to open my own business, this was in the fall of 1999. Once out on my own it gave me a real opportunity to test and perfect my skills in different ways, such as a more custom painting approach. I enjoy being able to work one on one with clients to bring their visions to life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting out as a young entrepreneur wasn’t easy, there was a steep learning curve for business operations, building credibility, getting clients, staying innovative with all the new products on the market and standing out from the competition.
It was important back then and will always be to stay passionate about the painting industry.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in custom residential painting.
Along with our expert advice, we collaborate with clients to achieve their desired design goals using innovative and lasting products they can enjoy for years to come.
What sets us apart is our ability to be creative in the custom painting world bringing new techniques and ideas to our clients.
For example, staining brick instead of painting to achieve a different look without the maintenance or creating a wood finish on metal gates and many other options for their projects.
I am most proud of being able to provide the highest level of quality to our clients along with building strong relationships leading to repeat business and referrals for over 25 years, this also sets apart from others in this industry.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I enjoy custom wood working such as building shutters, installing trim, shiplap, wood ceilings and other projects.
