Caden Furry

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, my name is Caden Furry! I am 22 years old born in 2001 and ever since I was 17 years old, I started doing door-to-door sales for many years. I have learned a lot from sales, from 17 till now, I have always had an entrepreneurial mind just didn’t know how or where to start my company. So, I started a detailing company about 1 year ago in my old truck and named it Fuzzy Clean Detailing because it rhymes with my last name, it may be a little bit confusing to some but to me, it’s not about the name it’s about the hustler that’s inside me and the products and service I can deliver.

My first day, quitting my job not looking back, and starting fuzzy mobile detailing was very scary but to succeed you have to take risks. It was the first day I realized I was no longer a worker I was an entrepreneur and that changed my life forever. I had no clients, and I didn’t know anybody who needed their car detailed but I went out and found those people I started door-knocking houses, and businesses until I found the right clientele, also started posting all over social media to spread my name across all platforms.

When I started, I had a huge vision for it, I started in an old 2005 Toyota Tundra and eventually, I am planning to own a multiple square feet warehouse in middle Tennessee and 2 detailing vans, with a product line of chemicals to clean your car and a few great employees. My goals will remain the same till they are a reality.

I’ve worked for several companies in several jobs in the biggest thing that I want to do with my company is have the ability to treat my employees like they are myself, also want them to feel the credibility of washing someone’s car and the gratitude the customer gives back.

There are videos and web articles all over the Internet claiming to show you how to make money on TikTok or YouTube before I started my company I would watch them and try and figure it out, but one thing I’ve learned is there’s no such thing as fast and easy money without having some type of business plan or model in place.

A lot of kids our age lack the motivation to be able to go out and hustle, They’re trying to make quick money in cryptocurrency, stocks, and stuff like that. I’m trying to build a business that I’m in control of the amount of success I can receive.

I’ve always been into social media and thought why not use social media to my advantage, there are billions of users. We’ve grown our TikTok/Instagram to the point where we are reaching an audience of 10,000 people a month and it’s benefited us. It brings in clients and it’s really important to us to show everyone what we do!

Someone once asked me what if it all falls apart and it doesn’t work. I said, “I’ll get up the next morning and start over again because every day I act as if I have nothing and that is what keeps me driven!”

Thank you for reading this.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a company it’s very difficult. I did not realize it but there are taxes, business insurance, marketing, scheduling, and much much more. So a big struggle as a 22-year-old is to handle a bunch of things and be able to put in the work as well.

A big challenge for me would be always working. I just recently did get to step away and enjoy friends and family, but 90% of the time I am always thinking and going about my company. Detailing is not an easy job and is not for everybody. You have a long day of manual labor washing cleaning in small and tall vehicles cleaning trash and lots of dog hair.

I would say there’s a lot of ups and downs on your road to creating a business. The beginning of finding clients was one of the hardest things to do. There would be some weeks where you would have no clients and no one out there. So I would have to knock on business and residential doors just to find a client.

What is very hard is you can go through 20 doors and hear 20 people say “no thank you” or “get out of here” but on that 21st door, you’ll get that first Yes that you have been looking for all morning, but with every struggle you will learn something from it and it helps you prosper, so I know if I don’t have clients I will go until I get one!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in mobile detailing and do interior and exterior car cleans in any car of your desire, we also specialize in more complex work like ceramic coatings, paint correction, and tint. We use the industry’s top-of-the-line products for any service that we do. We are not just a car wash.

Our goal is to get into a shop to start working on vehicles there. We are your trusted auto detailing Serving mid-Tennessee and the surrounding areas, Our mission is to ensure your vehicle is treated with the ultimate black glove experience. Not only that, but we want you to feel peace of mind no matter where you take your vehicle on the open roads ahead.

Fuzzy Auto Details is the mobile detailer you need to give your vehicle a refresh! We offer a range of car detailing packages to keep your car both looking and feeling its best. When it comes to car detailing, our packages are sure to clean every inch of your vehicle. The best part is that we come to you!

Our pricing is not like other detailers. This business is very saturated and prices in Tennessee have gone through the roof. Yes, detailing is hard, but you should not have to spend an arm and a leg on one detail. That’s why I keep my prices affordable and my services in peak performance.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
One of my biggest risks was quitting my job and making this business my full-time job I have bills and other things that need to be paid, and for me to trust in myself to do my own thing and start my own business was one huge risk, another risk would be buying all of the equipment and material needed to do the job the right way. It took me a lot of saving up but I was able to do it!

Another big risk is winter, it is colder, water freezes, people don’t care about keeping there car clean and It’s a little bit difficult to find customers at some points but my goal this winter should make that nonexistent, the way to avoid this risk I believe is marketing yourself to be one of the best in your local area that includes being the best one more step better than anyone else.

The risk of being self-employed for a while I would wake up and go to my 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. As soon as I started my company, it turned from 6 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday. So the risk of losing a 9 to 5 and being relaxed at working that 9 to 5, just showing up and showing out instead of being the face of the company was a huge risk but had to be taken to grow!

Pricing:

  • Interior and exterior $100+
  • Interior $60+
  • Exterior $60+
