Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantel Reid.
Chantel , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2024, I was working as a Registered Nurse on light duty due to my pregnancy with my daughter, who is now nine months old. At the time, my doctors required routine labs and weekly travel to assess my cervical length as part of closely monitoring my pregnancy. During that season, I was standing in faith and trusting God’s word for healing—which I later received upon reassessment.
Despite that miracle, the physical demands of the pregnancy were still difficult. My daughter was positioned very low in my pelvis, making walking painful and challenging. I remember dreading those lab visits and wishing there were a way to receive those services in the comfort of my home. That frustration sparked a question that changed everything: What if I could provide services like this to others facing similar challenges?
I have always been business-minded, so when that idea came, it felt purposeful rather than surprising. While still in my third trimester, I began planning what this could look like after delivery. Around that same time, I remembered a prophetic word I had received that I would start a business, though I didn’t yet know what kind. I began to sense that this was the direction God was leading me.
As I researched mobile healthcare options and prayed for clarity, I realized that this model already existed in certain spaces. While I had not previously performed drug screenings, I was familiar with specimen collection through my nursing background and had personally completed pre-employment drug testing as an employee. I understood firsthand how inconvenient it could be to give up personal time simply to complete required testing. Making these services mobile felt like a practical way to add convenience, privacy, and accessibility.
I began educating myself further and invested in digital resources to understand the drug testing industry and its requirements. Specimen collection was already within my scope, so it became a natural entry point. From there, I started adding complementary services that paired well—such as phlebotomy, DNA testing, fingerprinting, and background checks—and before long, I had built a full pre-employment screening package.
As the months passed, my business partner—Jesus Christ—and I continued to pray and talk about the direction of the company. During that time, I was reminded of why I became a nurse in the first place: my grandmother. She was ill and needed more advocacy and support while navigating her care. She passed away before I graduated, but her experience deeply shaped my heart for nursing and my passion for caring for the elderly. I often felt that with clearer communication and proper support, she could have made more informed decisions and experienced a better quality of life.
That realization sparked another shift. I had seen this same gap repeatedly throughout my work in hospital settings and home healthcare—patients and caregivers overwhelmed by complex medical information, unsure of what questions to ask, or struggling to understand care plans. I began asking myself, What if I could help bridge that gap for families?
This led to the creation of our Patient Advocacy & Care Coordination service. Through this program, patients and their families do not have to navigate the healthcare system alone. We help ensure their questions are heard, their care is clearly explained, and decisions are made with confidence. Many patients say they understand a physician’s explanation, yet once the provider leaves, they often turn to the nurse for clarification in simpler terms. That is the gap we fill—both in person and virtually.
This service is especially valuable for seniors living alone, patients after hospital discharge, individuals with complex diagnoses, polypharmacy patients, ESL patients, overwhelmed caregivers, adult children managing parental care remotely, and individuals who are cognitively or physically overwhelmed.
Today, MedivaultX reflects both my clinical background and my faith. Our vision is to revolutionize access to healthcare and compliance services by bringing convenient, compassionate, and ethical support directly to those we serve—ensuring every client feels informed, supported, and genuinely cared for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has been deeply rewarding, but it has not been a smooth road.
The most significant challenge has been financial. Like many early-stage founders, I am currently self-funding the business while working extended hours as a Registered Nurse to cover startup costs and ongoing family expenses. Balancing clinical work, entrepreneurship, and motherhood—particularly while caring for a baby and supporting a toddler in ABA therapy—has required constant prioritization and sacrifice.
At this stage, MedivaultX operates on an appointment-only basis. Limited capital has impacted our ability to expand staffing and hours of operation to meet growing community demand. Our goal is to hire additional staff so we can increase availability and transition to accommodating walk-in clients, allowing us to serve more individuals while maintaining our current standard of care.
There are also key infrastructure investments that would strengthen operations and support sustainable growth. These include acquiring specialized equipment and implementing systems that enhance service delivery. For example, a sonography machine would allow us to offer prenatal ultrasounds alongside DNA testing, and an electronic medical record (EMR) system would support documentation and communication with collaborating providers.
Marketing and community awareness have presented additional challenges. While I remain committed to grassroots outreach, in-person marketing is sometimes limited due to caregiving responsibilities. As a result, much of our visibility has been built through social media and word-of-mouth. With additional resources, initiatives such as direct mail campaigns and community mailers would allow us to reach individuals who may not be active online but would greatly benefit from our services.
Despite these challenges, I remain encouraged and fulfilled. Every person we serve affirms the purpose behind this work. While the journey has required endurance and faith, it has also reinforced the impact MedivaultX is positioned to make. I remain excited about the opportunity to expand access and serve more families and organizations with intention, excellence, and care.”
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Medivaultx LLC?
MedivaultX is a nurse-led healthcare and compliance services organization built on first-hand experience, deep listening, and responsiveness to real community needs. We operate through both a physical location and a mobile, appointment-based model, allowing us to meet individuals and organizations where they are while maintaining accessibility, professionalism, and trust.
We specialize in services that support individuals, families, and employers, including pre-employment screening services such as drug testing, DNA testing, fingerprinting, background checks, and phlebotomy, as well as Patient Advocacy & Care Coordination. Our physical location allows clients to access services in a structured, professional setting, while our mobile model provides flexibility for those who require or prefer care delivered outside a traditional office environment.
What sets MedivaultX apart is that our services were designed from lived experience rather than theory. As a Registered Nurse and founder, I have personally navigated many of the same challenges our clients face—limited time, fragmented systems, unclear communication, and difficulty accessing services that fit real life. Because of this, our approach begins with listening. We take time to understand each client’s situation, which ensures that our services are thoughtful, informed, and truly aligned with their needs.
Brand-wise, I am most proud that MedivaultX is known for being attentive, trustworthy, and grounded in real understanding. Our reviews will testify of it. Our first-hand experience—both personally and professionally—allows us to anticipate challenges, respond with clarity, and deliver services with confidence and competence. Clients consistently express that they feel heard, respected, and supported, which reinforces that our approach is effective and meaningful.
What we want readers to know is that MedivaultX is not simply a service provider—it is a partner in care and compliance. Whether clients visit our physical location, schedule services by appointment, or engage with us through advocacy support, they receive the same level of intentional care, integrity, and professionalism. Our mission is to simplify complex processes, expand access, and ensure that every person we serve feels informed, valued, and supported.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that may surprise people is that alongside my work as a nurse and founder, I am also an author and a dance minister—and these roles deeply shape how I serve through MedivaultX.
In addition, there are moments in my work that extend beyond clinical or operational needs. With consent and as appropriate, I have often prayed with clients and spoken words of encouragement and hope over them. These moments are never planned or imposed; they arise organically during appointments and only occur when invited or welcomed. Many times, clients are navigating fear, uncertainty, or emotionally heavy seasons, and being present with them in that way has become a meaningful part of how I serve.
As an author, I am trained to communicate thoughtfully and clearly—skills that help me translate complex information into language people can understand and trust. As a dance minister, I have learned the importance of presence, discernment, and responding with sensitivity to what may not be spoken aloud. Together, these experiences inform my ability to listen deeply and meet people where they are.
While MedivaultX is known for professionalism, efficiency, and trust-based care, what may not be immediately visible is the heart behind the brand. Our work is grounded in compassion, respect for individual beliefs, and a commitment to treating each person as a whole individual—not just a task, appointment, or case.
What I hope readers understand is that MedivaultX operates with both excellence and humanity. We honor structure and standards, while also allowing space for dignity, encouragement, and connection. That balance is what makes our work not only effective, but deeply meaningful.
