Today we’d like to introduce you to Daquan Beck.
Hi Daquan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Daquan I was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Atlanta,GA. I attended Tennessee State University where I majored in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism and Broadcasting. I graduated in 2018 and started my media journey creating my own podcast during the pandemic. I eventually got connected with Zeus network working on Baddies South setting up media runs and club appearances which turned into an opportunity for me to be apart of a local radio station. From there I created my own Brand Brooklyn Media and was able to get into more rooms such as Essence Fest, Red carpets and most recently the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been smooth as before I went to Tennessee state University I attended another college and didn’t really know the path and direction I wanted. In addition creating your own platform takes time to build and in the beginning my following was not strong and it became discouraging especially when you don’t have a large following and major events won’t let you attend if you don’t have a following.

Brooklyn Media is a media company for creators in the entertainment field. We specialize in hosting red carpets, celebrity interviews and creating content for social media and businesses. What sets Brooklyn Media apart from any other company is we make moments. We pride our self in doing every interview with intention, purpose and research. What I am most proud about from my brand is how far I have gotten independently without any major co-signs. I want readers to know that I welcome all artist, businesses and people to come to my business for services with the expectation that I will increase visibility in whatever they are promoting or whatever business they have
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was a very quiet and reserved kid I didn’t like too much conversation or visibility I was very fade into the background. I played football up until I was 15 and then became fascinated with radio
