Today we’d like to introduce you to Gavin And Jenn Cook.

Hi Gavin and Jenn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As Middle Tennessee natives, we met back in high school and started dating our senior year. After graduation, we both headed off to college together, and during our 20s and early 30s, we really focused on building our real estate portfolio. That experience taught us a lot about hard work, strategy, and long-term vision. Eventually, that journey gave Gavin the opportunity to step away from a 15-year career in corporate America, where he was working in analytics. We knew we wanted to take that next step into small business ownership, and when we came across Humbol, we immediately felt connected to it. It was the perfect fit for our passion and values, and we absolutely fell in love with the opportunity.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur and investor is never easy. You really have to learn to be flexible. We’ve always reminded ourselves that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and burnout is very real if you don’t pace yourself. Stepping into the event venue business, we had a lot to learn. We quickly realized that if we focused on the fundamentals, like providing clients with prompt communication and a clean, welcoming space, they could see that we truly prioritize them. That’s what keeps people coming back and trusting us with their special moments.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our business is built on creating a welcoming, flexible space where people can celebrate life’s biggest milestones and most meaningful moments. We specialize in providing a clean, modern venue that acts as a blank canvas, allowing our clients to bring their unique vision to life.
