Community Highlights: Meet Hannah Pritchett of Luxx Overnight

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Pritchett.

Hi Hannah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Growing up going camping and constantly outdoors has always been a gateway for me. When I moved to East Texas, I noticed the lack of unique overnight experiences to do. So, my husband and I wanted to bring something fun to our town that is administered to all ages! We have come up with a variety of themes and packages which creates a more intimate or fun gathering for you and your party.

Not only do we supply what you need for the glamping trip, but we also provide a portable A/C and fan to keep things cool. Being a stay-at-home mom to two girls has been a dream come true, however, I wanted something to get me out of the house for a couple of hours and to make others happy. Nevertheless, I created this small business to do just that!

When starting Luxx Overnight, I told my husband that I’d be blessed if we got just one booking a month for extra income. In the first two months of launching, we have been double booked each weekend and have grown tremendously. I followed my dreams and it has brought me extreme joy and more bookings than I ever imagined.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, it’s been a very smooth road getting to where we are today. We had one hiccup in a secondary location set up however, I was able to find another space fairly quickly. Owning a small business will always come with obstacles so we are keeping an open mind for the future!

As you know, we’re big fans of Luxx Overnight. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Luxx Overnight is a unique, glamping experience that comes to you! We are a portable Bell Tent business that brings the party or intimate gathering to your property.

If our customer’s location is not accessible, we also set up at Lake Hawkins which is beautiful. We specialize in bringing you fun overnight adventures for all ages while having a variety of themes/packages to choose from. Not only do we bring the excitement, but we also bring a portable A/C and fan because we understand how hot the South can be!

What sets us apart from others is our strive to always accommodate all event themes and keep our customers satisfied. We are always trying to become better and create new ideas to keep the business growing. I am extremely proud of where we are just three months after launching our business.

We have brought so many smiles to tons of faces, we have made it possible for people to create unique lifelong memories and we have also made some special events over the top for others. Our hope is for everyone to see how hard we work to create a fun and unforgettable experience while “glamping.” Something about being outdoors and being close to the ones you love creates memories that you won’t receive elsewhere.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking has been an absolute game changer for my small business! I am involved in a handful around the East Texas area and you create professional friendships that you won’t find elsewhere if you don’t put yourself out there.

Having a community that also promotes your business can help tremendously with your sales and overall brand. Just like the saying goes “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”
