Community Highlights: Meet Jason of XPERIENCE Nashville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason.

Hi Jason, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was working as a tour guide for another company when a few customers suggested I start my own business—they loved the tour and believed I should be doing it independently. That planted the seed, and with my wife’s support, we quickly got to work—buying a bus, building a website, and creating our brand. Four years later, it’s been the best decision I’ve made.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part, it’s been a smooth ride. In the beginning, I had to promote the tour on the street, but after a few months, it really took off—and I’ve been very grateful ever since. My wife has always worked corporate marketing so with her handling those details and just letting me be the tour guide it allowed us to grow without it becoming overwhelming.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We offer private and group tours that let you experience the best of Nashville—from iconic landmarks to hidden gems. Whether it’s a mural tour, bachelorette party, or corporate outing, our open-air bus tours are designed for all ages and are fully wheelchair-accessible. Making our tour wheelchair accessible was a priority for us. Nashville is often under-served in this area, and with my wife being a wheelchair user, it was important to her that everyone has the chance to experience how special this city is—in a fun and inclusive way. We really focus on creating custom, memorable experiences that showcase the heart of Music City—dive bars, local culture, and everything in between.

Our tour is perfect for corporate team building—it’s fun, interactive, and gets your team out exploring Nashville together. With a relaxed open-air setting, engaging stories, and customizable routes, it’s a unique way to bond, boost morale, and create shared memories outside the office.

We’re just the right size for families to enjoy a customized private tour that keeps everyone engaged—from kids to grandparents. If you’re visiting with a smaller group or as a couple, our group tour is a great option. It covers a 12-mile radius through Music City, packed with sights and great stories. With a maximum of 10 guests, it offers a personalized, intimate experience you won’t find on larger tours. We are also dog friendly.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of my favorite stories to share on Music Row is about Kris Kristofferson and the lengths he went to just to get his music heard. The message is simple: when you find what you’re passionate about, never give up and never take no for an answer. That’s exactly how we feel about this business—we’re passionate about creating unforgettable Nashville experiences for everyone who visits. I just can’t believe I get to go to work everyday doing this as my job, I really enjoy it and I think that comes through my tour commentary. I hope to give our guests a few laughs while actually learning cool stuff about Nashville and give them an experience that they tell their family and friends about when they get home.
