Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Phillips.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My career has never been about a single industry. It’s always been about solving complex problems and building organizations where people and businesses can thrive.
I’ve worked alongside some of the most influential executives, entrepreneurs, and family offices, leading operations, strategy, finance, human resources, marketing, and organizational growth. I’ve had the opportunity to work with businesses ranging from small privately owned companies to large international organizations, often stepping into situations where complexity had outgrown structure.
Over the years, I realized that while every business is different, the challenges are remarkably similar. Leadership, communication, systems, culture, and creating environments where people can perform at their highest level are universal.
That philosophy ultimately led me to create a private executive advisory practice where I partner with business owners and family offices to build businesses that no longer depend on the owner for every decision. Working quietly behind the scenes, I align people, processes, advisors, and strategy into an ecosystem that gives leaders back the freedom they set out to create in the first place.
But one of the biggest turning points in my life wasn’t professional at all.
After being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, I began understanding my own experiences in an entirely different way. I realized that many of the environments we ask people to work, learn, heal, and receive services in simply aren’t designed with different nervous systems in mind.
Once I saw that, I couldn’t unsee it.
I started looking beyond business operations and asking a different question:
**What if we designed experiences with the same intentionality that we design successful organizations?**
That question became Beautiful Energy.
Beautiful Energy exists to help businesses create experiences that are more thoughtful, more inclusive, and more accessible, particularly for individuals who are neurodivergent or have sensory sensitivities. It isn’t about lowering standards. It’s about raising awareness and improving experiences for everyone.
Although Beautiful Energy is a new organization, it’s built on everything I’ve spent my career doing: understanding people, improving systems, creating trust, and helping organizations operate with greater intention.
Whether I’m advising a family office, helping a leadership team navigate growth, or working wellness providers, through Beautiful Energy, my mission remains the same:
To build environments where people don’t just function, they flourish!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. Every stage of my career has brought new challenges, but that’s also where I’ve found my greatest purpose. I’ve had the privilege of helping businesses navigate some of the most difficult seasons in recent history, from the 2008 financial crisis to the rapid changes that followed COVID. Those moments reinforced that strong leadership isn’t just about growing a business; it’s about helping people adapt, make difficult decisions, and find stability when everything around them is changing.
As demand for my work grew, so did the demands in my personal life. Like many high-achieving women, I spent years balancing an executive career, entrepreneurship, and raising a family while believing that working harder was simply the cost of success. From the outside, everything looked successful. Behind the scenes, I was constantly overcompensating, masking, and wondering why I had to work so much harder just to keep all the plates spinning.
Looking back, those experiences shaped not only the leader I became but also the mission I’m pursuing today. I hope my story reminds people that success and struggle can exist at the same time, and that it’s never too late to better understand yourself and create environments where people can truly thrive.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Beautiful Energy was founded by my best friend, Ashley, and me. We come from very different professional backgrounds but share the same vision. My career has been rooted in executive leadership, organizational strategy, and helping businesses navigate growth and change, while Ashley has spent years serving clients in the beauty industry and understands firsthand the trust, relationships, and care that happen behind the chair every day.
Together, we recognized an opportunity to bridge the gap between exceptional technical services and exceptional client experiences.
Beautiful Energy specializes in helping salons, spas, barbershops, and wellness providers become more **neuroinclusive** through education, practical standards, and real-world resources. We help beauty professionals better understand sensory needs, communication differences, and the small changes that create meaningful experiences for every client who walks through their doors.
What makes Beautiful Energy unique is that it wasn’t created solely from a beauty perspective or solely from a business perspective. It was built by combining both. My experience designing high-performing organizations and Ashley’s experience serving clients every day have allowed us to create an approach that is practical, sustainable, and deeply human.
We believe confidence begins long before someone looks in the mirror. It begins the moment a client walks through the door and feels seen, respected, understood, and comfortable.
While we’re beginning in the beauty and wellness industry, our vision is much larger. We hope Beautiful Energy helps lead the conversation around neuroinclusion by inspiring businesses to create environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
How do you think about happiness?
Honestly, I’m happiest when I’m creating something that makes life better for other people.
I love solving problems, connecting dots that others might not see, and turning big ideas into something that creates a real impact. That’s true whether I’m helping a business owner find freedom again, building Beautiful Energy with Ashley, or watching someone finally feel understood after years of thinking they were “too much” or “not enough.”
Outside of work, I’m happiest in the simple moments: spending time with my four children, laughing with close friends, riding horses, studying God’s Word, traveling, or enjoying a great cup of coffee somewhere quiet with a book. Those moments remind me why I work so hard in the first place.
At the end of the day, I think what makes me happiest is seeing people leave a little lighter than when they came to me. Whether it’s through business strategy or Beautiful Energy, if someone walks away with more hope, clarity, or confidence, that’s a pretty great day.
