Today we’d like to introduce you to Keribeth Searcy.
Hi Keribeth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Tennessee Premier Health began with a growing ache I couldn’t ignore. Over the years, I worked extensively in telemedicine through large corporate healthcare systems. While those models were efficient and fast, they often left little room for compassion, connection, or truly listening to patients. I saw people reduced to visit numbers and time limits, and it became clear that convenience alone isn’t enough—healthcare has to feel human.
As a board-certified physician assistant, and as a mom navigating care for my own family, I felt the tension between what healthcare *could* be and what it often *was*. Patients weren’t just looking for quick answers; they were looking for reassurance, understanding, and someone who genuinely cared. I knew there had to be a better way to deliver telehealth—one that balanced access and efficiency with empathy and trust.
That realization led to the creation of Tennessee Premier Health in 2025. I built it intentionally as a telehealth-only practice centered on relationships, transparency, and patient dignity. We started small, serving patients across Tennessee with urgent care and membership-based services designed to remove barriers—not add to them. Growth came organically through word of mouth, fueled by patients who felt heard and cared for.
Tennessee Premier Health is not a solo journey. It was shaped alongside incredible partners who believed in building something different—family members, business leadership, and a creative marketing team who helped bring the mission to life. Today, we continue to grow with purpose, staying rooted in the same belief that started it all: healthcare should be accessible, efficient, and above all, compassionate.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all—and I think that’s true for most meaningful work. Building TPH has been deeply rewarding, but it hasn’t been a smooth road.
One of the biggest challenges was choosing to build *differently* in a healthcare landscape that often rewards speed, volume, and profit over patience and people. From navigating licensing, compliance, and insurance barriers to building the right technology stack for a telehealth-only practice, there were many moments where the easier path would have been to cut corners or conform to the corporate model I had already experienced—but that would have compromised the mission.
Another ongoing challenge has been educating patients and partners about what thoughtful telemedicine can truly look like. Because of misconceptions around virtual care, we’ve had to earn trust one patient at a time by being consistent, clinically responsible, and transparent—especially when that means referring someone elsewhere instead of treating them ourselves.
On a personal level, balancing growth with family life and sustainability has required constant recalibration. As a founder, clinician, and mom, learning when to slow down, ask for help, and build a support system has been just as important as any business decision. Those struggles shaped the practice in ways I’m grateful for—they forced clarity, strengthened our values, and reinforced why we started in the first place.
Every challenge has ultimately refined TPH into something more intentional, resilient, and grounded. We didn’t aim for the fastest growth—we aimed for the *right* growth, and that continues to guide us forward.
As you know, we’re big fans of Tennessee Premier Health LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Tennessee Premier Health is a telehealth-only medical practice built to make healthcare more accessible, compassionate, and practical for everyday life. We provide virtual urgent care, mental health support, and membership-based services for individuals, families, and small businesses across Tennessee.
What sets us apart is how intentionally we practice. After years of working within large corporate telemedicine systems, I wanted to create something different—care that prioritizes listening, clinical judgment, and patient dignity over speed and volume. Our visits are thoughtful, our boundaries are clear, and referrals are made responsibly when in-person care is the safest next step.
A common misconception about telehealth is that it’s limited or impersonal. In reality, when done responsibly, telemedicine allows providers to safely evaluate and treat a wide range of conditions while expanding access and convenience. Telehealth doesn’t replace traditional care—it complements it by removing barriers like cost, wait times, and location.
What I’m most proud of is the trust behind the brand. Tennessee Premier Health has grown through word of mouth and patient loyalty, rooted in transparency, compassion, and integrity. Our goal is simple: to prove that modern healthcare can be both efficient, convenient and compassionate.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Tennessee Premier Health would not exist without a strong support system behind it. This business was built alongside family, trusted partners, and a small but deeply committed team who believed in the mission from the very beginning.
My family has been foundational—offering encouragement, perspective, and the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes entrepreneurship possible, especially during seasons of uncertainty. Having people who believed in the vision even before it was fully formed made all the difference.
Equally important were my business partners and operational support team, who helped turn an idea into a functioning, sustainable practice. Their strengths in operations, finance, and marketing allowed me to stay focused on clinical care while building a brand with intention and integrity.
I’m also grateful for the patients and clients who trusted us early on. Their feedback, loyalty, and willingness to share their experiences helped shape Tennessee Premier Health into what it is today. This has never been a solo effort—it’s been a collective one, built on trust, collaboration, and shared values.
