Today we’d like to introduce you to Krys Speaks.
Krys, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my news and media company back in November 2015. The inspiration behind Linking All Women firstly stems from my upbringing of being raised and being surrounded by strong, resilient faith-believing women thus I was empowered to have a passion to grow and empower women.
Since then, as an Entrepreneur, Journalist, and Educator; I have been blessed to create a story-telling platform where women are inspired to grow a greater appreciation for one another and encouraged to value each other’s generational differences.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My road hasn’t been smooth, yet it has been a faith-filled journey that I appreciate and has matured me in ways that only challenges can do. One of my greatest challenges was and in some ways still is not letting my introverted personality derail me from sharing my gifts/talents with the world.
As an educator and journalist, those seats are my comfort, my safe places where I feel most free and confident, but when I have to function in other capacities in business and work I tend to want to withdraw and take the backseat. (Shy smile). But I’m growing and happy to say that I’m learning to be ok with all this goodness God has imparted into me to share to impact lives for the greater good.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Linking All Women is a news and media company that shares stories from women of all different walks of life and generations. I run the company, and I am the journalist in front and behind every story shared on the platform. L.A.W. is known and is set apart for having a generational impact. That impact I know stems from the story of my life from having healthy relationships with the women in my family of all ages.
On L.A.W. I’ve interviewed a woman as young as 19 from Somalia to a seasoned woman as old as 88. The conversations I’m afforded to have and share are priceless. What I’m most proud of is the consistency I’ve been able to have a year in and out. Of course, life happens, and things have come my way where I’ve could’ve set L.A.W. aside, but I remained consistent and I believe the audience sees and feels that. L.A.W. was birthed to bridge the gap across generations, and my goal is to see those bridges built across all arenas be it in the faith communities, education, politics, fashion, and beyond.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Goofy, introverted, reserved, serious and I’m still very much so all those ways.
