Community Highlights: Meet Melody Fisher of Fisherly Creations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melody Fisher.

Melody, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Fisherly Creations started with three sisters who have always loved celebrating life’s special moments. What began as helping friends and family decorate for birthdays, baby showers, and holidays quickly turned into a passion for creating memorable experiences through balloons and event décor.

As more people began asking us to decorate their events, we realized there was an opportunity to turn what we loved into a business. We officially launched Fisherly Creations with the goal of bringing creativity, attention to detail, and a personal touch to every event we design. From intimate celebrations to weddings, corporate events, and large community gatherings, we’ve continued to grow by focusing on quality, reliability, and making each client’s vision come to life.

Like any small business, the journey hasn’t always been easy. We’ve balanced full-time careers while building Fisherly Creations during evenings and weekends, learning everything from design techniques to entrepreneurship along the way. Every event has taught us something new and helped us improve our craft.

Today, we’re proud to serve the Nashville area and beyond, creating balloon installations and event décor that help people celebrate some of the biggest milestones in their lives. Seeing our clients’ reactions when they walk into a finished space is what keeps us inspired. We’re grateful for every client who has trusted us, and we’re excited to continue growing while staying true to the family values and creativity that inspired Fisherly Creations from the very beginning.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has helped us grow. Like many small businesses, we started with limited resources and had to build everything from the ground up while balancing full-time careers. There were plenty of late nights, early mornings, and weekends spent preparing for events, learning new techniques, investing back into the business, and figuring things out as we went.

As sisters, we’ve also learned how to balance family dynamics with running a business together. We’ve discovered that clear communication, trusting each other’s strengths, and sharing the same vision have been key to overcoming challenges.

One of the biggest lessons has been learning that growth doesn’t happen overnight. Building a reputation takes time, and we’ve worked hard to earn our clients’ trust by consistently delivering quality work and exceptional service. Looking back, we’re grateful for those challenges because they’ve made us more resilient, strengthened our business, and reminded us why we started Fisherly Creations in the first place.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fisherly Creations is a sister-owned event styling business specializing in custom balloon décor and event design for weddings, corporate events, grand openings, birthday celebrations, baby showers, bridal showers, and everything in between. We believe every celebration deserves to feel memorable, and we’re passionate about creating installations that become the centerpiece of our clients’ events.

What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all designs—every installation is thoughtfully created to reflect our client’s style, vision, and the atmosphere they want to create. From the initial consultation to setup on event day, we focus on making the entire experience seamless, stress-free, and enjoyable.

As sisters, we each bring different strengths to the business, which allows us to work together efficiently while giving every event the attention to detail it deserves. We take pride in being dependable, creative, and easy to work with, and we genuinely care about building relationships with our clients—not just completing another event.

One of the things we’re most proud of is the reputation we’ve built through word-of-mouth referrals and repeat clients. There’s no greater compliment than having someone trust us with multiple milestones in their lives or recommend us to friends and family.

As we continue to grow, our goal is to become a go-to event styling company in Middle Tennessee, known not only for beautiful balloon installations but also for creating experiences that leave lasting impressions. We want every client to feel celebrated, cared for, and excited from the moment they reach out to us until the last balloon is packed away.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, the three of us were always active, hardworking, and involved in our communities. We each played soccer throughout our childhood and into college, which taught us valuable lessons about discipline, commitment, teamwork, and perseverance. While we weren’t all on the same teams, those experiences shaped who we are today and the way we approach challenges.

We have also always been drawn to creativity and celebrating life’s special moments. From family gatherings and birthdays to holidays and milestones, we loved being part of creating memories and making occasions feel meaningful. Looking back, it makes sense that those passions would eventually lead us to starting Fisherly Creations.

Although we each bring our own personality, skills, and perspective to the business, we share the same work ethic and desire to create something special. The lessons we learned through sports, family, and life have helped us build a business centered around teamwork, dedication, and making every celebration feel unforgettable.
