Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Yanez.
Hi Michael, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my career in the early 2000s as the first salesperson at Ulead Systems, a photo/video software publisher, where I grew sales from zero to $60 million annually by opening major retail accounts like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart—an experience that taught me the fundamentals of building distribution channels and go-to-market strategies from the ground up. That foundation led me to launch my own retail sales agency, Omni-Channel Sales Partners, in 2008, where I helped international and domestic brands navigate the increasingly complex retail landscape while generating $60 million in annual sales across multiple channels. Recognizing the seismic shift toward eCommerce, I founded Vendo in 2014, a full-service Amazon agency that quickly reached the top 5% of all Amazon seller accounts by pioneering innovative marketplace strategies for ASOTV brands and others, achieving $50 million in annual sales within four years. My success at Vendo led to an opportunity with KartSmartr in 2018, where I built an eCommerce and media agency from scratch for $3 billion grocery broker Johnson O’Hare, becoming one of only three agencies to earn Amazon Fresh Partner status and growing the division to $30 million in annual revenue while establishing strategic partnerships across the retail media landscape. Then was the VP of Business Development & Partnerships at World Pantry before becoming the National Sales Director at Station South Collective, where I am leveraging two decades of experience—having sold into every major retailer and generated over $300 million in new business throughout my career—to help Station South collective navigate the convergence of traditional retail, eCommerce, physician and emerging wellness markets while building meaningful partnerships that drive sustainable growth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, When I owned my sales agency helping smaller sized brands enter the US retail market, the categories I focused on became obsolete in retail and moved over to online sales primarily. As such, my services were a lot less valuable and I had to reinvent myself.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Station South Collective?
Station South Collective is a Tennessee-based family-owned wellness brand devoted to all things good for you—from comprehensive health supplements to all-natural skincare—proudly made in the USA. Rooted in family values and philanthropy, we’re not just selling products; we’re on a mission to give back, both locally and globally. With a deep commitment to quality, community, and intentional living, every product we offer is thoughtfully crafted with care and integrity.
**What do you do, what do you specialize in / what are you known for?**
We specialize in premium wellness products made with the best ingredients, with our flagship product being One Scoop Wonder—a revolutionary Whole Body Wellness Blend that stands in a category of its own. It’s the most comprehensive daily supplement on the market, delivering 35+ powerful functional ingredients in a single scoop. Unlike anything else available, One Scoop Wonder combines all 5 collagen types for skin, bones, brain, muscle, joints, hair and nail support, alongside a targeted probiotic blend for gut health, essential vitamins and minerals, adaptogens including 6 organic mushroom varieties, nootropics for cognitive performance, and quality protein. One product. One scoop. Total body coverage. Nothing else comes close. It’s your daily wellness ritual simplified into one powerful scoop—made in the USA by a family-owned company committed to no shortcuts, no junk, just real ingredients that deliver real results.
**What sets you apart from others?**
We’re creating an entirely new category in wellness. One Scoop Wonder allows you to simplify your daily supplement routine by replacing multiple bottles and pills with just one scoop, potentially saving you hundreds of dollars each month while delivering superior comprehensive nutrition. Our formula includes adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Maca, and Holy Basil to help your body manage stress and balance hormones; functional mushrooms including Chaga and Cordyceps for immune and cognitive support; 5 billion CFU probiotics plus digestive enzymes for optimal gut health and nutrient absorption; a complete vitamin complex with full B-Complex, Vitamins A, C, E, and 143mg of Biotin; nootropics like L-Theanine for mental clarity and focus; and anti-inflammatory botanicals including Turmeric, Ginger, and Green Tea. It’s everything your body needs, thoughtfully combined in one daily ritual.
**What are you most proud of brand-wise?**
I’m most proud that we’re a family-owned company that refuses to cut corners. We’re committed to using only premium, functional ingredients and we back that commitment with transparency—every ingredient serves a purpose, and we’re proud to put our name on products that deliver real, measurable results. Beyond that, our dedication to giving back locally and globally means that every purchase supports something bigger than just wellness—it supports community.
**What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc?**
In addition to One Scoop Wonder, we handcraft small-batch natural skincare products made from tallow and artisan soap bars made from goat milk. All our products are made from natural, high-quality ingredients with no synthetic fillers or harmful additives. As a local Tennessee-based company, we’re deeply committed to giving back to our community, and we’re actively seeking partnerships with local retailers and healthcare professionals who share our mission of bringing premium, honest wellness to the people who need it most. We believe in building relationships, not just selling products.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The wellness industry is experiencing a major shift from single-benefit supplements to comprehensive, multi-functional solutions—and that’s exactly where One Scoop Wonder is positioned to lead. Consumers are increasingly overwhelmed by “supplement fatigue”—the frustration of managing multiple bottles, conflicting dosing schedules, and the mounting costs of maintaining a complete wellness routine. Over the next 5-10 years, I see the industry moving decisively toward simplification without compromise: products that deliver total-body benefits in streamlined, science-backed formulations. People want fewer products that do more, and they want transparency about what they’re putting in their bodies. We’re also seeing a convergence of Eastern and Western wellness traditions—adaptogens, functional mushrooms, and ancient botanicals are now being validated by modern science and embraced by mainstream consumers who once only knew isolated vitamins. Additionally, there’s a growing demand for American-made products from family-owned companies that prioritize ingredient integrity over profit margins. The brands that will thrive are those that can deliver comprehensive solutions, radical transparency, and authentic values—which is exactly what Station South Collective was built to do. One Scoop Wonder isn’t just riding this trend; we’re defining what the future of daily wellness looks like: one product, one scoop, total body coverage.
