Community Highlights: Meet Porcshea Crawford of LEGACY HAULING LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Porcshea Crawford.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Legacy Hauling, LLC began with faith, family, and a shared vision to build something lasting. My husband had already spent over ten years driving roll-off trucks, so when the opportunity came for us to become business owners, it felt like the right next step. We started out partnering with a roll-off company for about six months, which gave us a solid foundation and firsthand experience running operations from a business standpoint.

After some time, we realized that our true passion and long-term vision were better aligned with dump trucking. So, we decided to take another leap of faith, and that’s when Legacy Hauling was born.

We started with one truck and a dream to create opportunities for our family and community. Today, we’re proud to serve Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas, offering dependable hauling services with integrity, professionalism, and purpose. For us, this isn’t just business — it’s our legacy in motion.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has taught us something valuable. When we first started Legacy Hauling, we quickly learned that owning a trucking business takes more than just hard work; it takes patience, persistence, and a lot of faith.

There were times when truck maintenance costs hit unexpectedly, or when we faced delays and long days that tested our endurance. Learning how to manage everything from scheduling and compliance to networking with contractors was a big adjustment, especially as a family-owned business building our reputation from the ground up.

But through it all, we never gave up. We leaned on our faith, stayed focused on our goals, and learned how to adapt. Each setback helped us grow stronger and more confident in what we’re building. Those early challenges shaped the foundation of who we are today: resilient, committed, and proud of the road we’ve traveled.

As you know, we’re big fans of LEGACY HAULING LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Legacy Hauling, LLC is a family-owned, woman-led dump truck company based in Middle Tennessee. We specialize in hauling materials such as dirt, rock, sand, topsoil, asphalt, and millings for construction and infrastructure projects. Our goal is simple: to provide dependable, professional hauling services while building relationships based on trust and integrity.

What truly sets us apart is our commitment to doing things the right way. We take pride in being reliable, safety-focused, and easy to work with. Every job, no matter the size, is treated with care because our name and reputation are on every load that leaves the site.

We’re most proud of the brand we’ve built, one that stands for hard work, faith, and family. “Your Load, Our Legacy” isn’t just a slogan for us; it’s the heart of our business. We want readers to know that when you work with Legacy Hauling, you’re not just hiring a truck; you’re partnering with a team that genuinely cares about your project, your timeline, and your community.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I wouldn’t really call it luck, I’d call it grace, timing, and faith. In business, there have been moments that looked like setbacks at first but ended up being blessings in disguise. We’ve had equipment break down right before a big job, or faced slow seasons that forced us to pause and refocus. At the time, it felt like bad luck, but those moments always seemed to open the door for something better.

On the flip side, we’ve also had great opportunities come our way simply because we stayed consistent and professional. I believe when you operate with integrity, show up ready to work, and treat people right, good things find their way to you. So while some might call it luck, I see it as God’s favor, the kind that reminds us we’re exactly where we’re meant to be, even when the road gets bumpy
