Community Highlights: Meet Timothy Bond of True Vine Publishing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Bond.

Hi Timothy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
In 2004, I decided to publish my poems. I worked as an editor at a publishing company. I understood the business and I didn’t want to wait the years it would take to find an agent. I didn’t want to wait years for that agent to find a publisher willing to publish my book, and I didn’t want to wait another 18 months after finding a publisher for my book to be published. Instead, I decided I would use my network of publishing professionals to edit and design my book.

After publishing my book, I was flooded with other aspiring authors who asked me to publish their books. Word of mouth grew and my company has gone on to publish books for authors throughout the United States and other countries. True Vine books have been read throughout the world, from the largest cities to small African villages.

Our goal is to change the world by changing the lives of our readers. We believe that by changing the way one person thinks, a ripple effect of change and impact will result.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growing my business has not always been smooth. The greatest struggles have been the struggle of personal development and learning to release responsibilities.

As an entrepreneur, the growth of a business is linked to the growth of the business owner. It took me years to build the confidence and knowledge to operate my enterprise on a higher level. As I grew as an individual, my business grew. This growth of course leads to growing pains.

One of those pains is becoming overworked and burned out due to not having an infrastructure to handle the growth. I have learned, and I am still learning, the danger of being all things to my business. No person can do all things. I have changed my thinking from “I can’t afford help” to “I can’t afford to NOT get help.”

We’ve been impressed with True Vine Publishing Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
People who have changed my life are Napoleon Hill and Bob Proctor. Their philosophies of success and attracting the life you want have empowered me to achieve the growth and success I currently enjoy and am striving to improve.

As a business owner, I can’t speak highly enough about a few services that automated my business and led to greater income and professionalism in my communication. Those services are the 17hats, Convertkit, and Calendly calendar services. I suggest these for anyone who is serious about growing your business and relieving themselves of some of the monotony of regular communication.

I can’t stress the importance of a business coach whether you pay for coaching or adopt a coach that you watch online. I follow Coach Michael Burt and Eric Thomas.
