Community Highlights: Meet Zach Gordon of BagTalk Talent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Gordon.

Hi Zach, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my company, BagTalk Talent Co. in 2021 when I signed my first artist, HunnidFromThe6, I have always had a passion for music and sports, and I took a lot of that from my dad. We would always talk about classic rock and we are both die-hard Miami Dolphins fans. My dad is a real-deal, self-made entrepreneur and would often take me to his office where I would just sit and watch him conduct business. He is well respected for the business he does and how he carries himself, and I knew I would always want to be in that position. I knew the timing was right in 2021 for me to finally start my career and my journey as an entrepreneur. BagTalk Talent Co. has since picked up opportunities to work with MLB athletes, NCAA athletes, and several artists all over the country. I am currently a senior at Belmont University studying music business and also preparing for law school. The next step in my career is furthering my education, as well as getting the specific certifications needed to really play in the big leagues.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been a few in particular that I have to overcome every now and again, but the key to success is hard work and confidence. “What if I am not good at what I do? Am I going to secure this deal? My sales pitch could have been better.” I just have to tell myself 3 things that I have written on a post-it note on my mirror- “You are here for a reason”, “You are stronger than yourself” “you got to want it”. Confidence is something that all entrepreneurs will struggle with, but if you believe in yourself, you’re already halfway there.

Other than that, I believe in my business, I believe in myself, and more importantly, I believe in my clients. Everyone on my team and everyone in my circle is a hard worker, and that makes work and building a business much easier.

We’ve been impressed with BagTalk Talent Co. LLC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
BagTalk Talent Co. LLC. was created by Zach Gordon in 2021 with the purpose to serve artists and athletes in all business ventures to their ultimate potential. We believe in developing artists and athletes to be more than just figures on a stage or on a field, we want them to succeed in business goals and practices. This includes growth and development of brands, establishing new companies, striking deals, and creating pathways for financial success. BagTalk Talent Co. offers an array of services for artists and athletes, including full-time artist management, NIL management, business creation, graphic design, independent playlisting, distribution, and much more!

How do you define success?
Success is a very subjective concept. Some people measure success by counting their dollars, others by how fulfilling their life is. I believe that there are several factors to success, and both previous answers are right. My definition of success includes me meeting my own goals of wealth that will take care of my family for the next generation. I want to have the ability to do the things I want to do like create memories with my family by going to football games, going on fun vacations, and learning the rich history of the world. I want to learn as much as possible in multiple fields and to pass my knowledge on to the up and coming. There are things I want to do that include giving back to the community. When I reach a certain level of financial success, one of my life goals is to create education pathways for young creatives, as well as to put forth a community effort to include financial literacy classes in public school systems to teach the next generation how to manage money. Completing these goals like setting up my family for the future, providing opportunity, and gaining all sorts of experiences is when I know I will be successful.
