Today we’d like to introduce you to Amaliko Carroll.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I moved to Florida from the Bahamas about 4 years ago and got into the Audio Visual field as an ENG and EFP camera operator and video technician. I was a video editor and live video director back home but felt an urge to look for something different.
About 3 years ago, I met my wife online, she’s from TN, so I gave up the beach yet again lol. I started Harvest In The Rain Digital in 2020 due to the pandemic and I’ve been blessed to work in a freelance capacity since then flying my own banner.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t been smooth as a business owner and the greatest challenge has been finding consistent revenue.
I’ve had to hone my networking skills to build those relationships that continue to send work my way.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The main services I offer are corporate event av production, camera operation, video editing, lead video tech, and wedding videography.
I think I’m most known for showing up early and delivering a quality product that meets and exceed clients’ expectations. What sets me apart from others is my personality and turnaround time on the projects I work on.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is playing basketball with my dad. He’d let me win from time to time, but it was the fact that he took time out of his busy schedule to spend one on one time with me that was so special.
