Conversations with Anthony Wolfe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Wolfe.

Anthony, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Undiscovered Nashville after rediscovering my passion for music. The stories I heard from singer/songwriters who are chasing their dreams
Inspired me to give them a platform to tell those stories and promote their music.

Since launching the website in December 2018, I started a weekly songwriter showcase. The show began with doing take over nights with Nashville Tour Stop and Radio SoBro. But, in 2021, I started what is now called “On the Verge.” The Greenlight Bar at 833 9th Ave. S is now home to our show.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With Undiscovered Nashville being a one man operation, there are limitations to how much I can do. Trying to find time to write content for the website, book the live show, and work a full-time job teaching high school economics is challenging.

Outside of finding time, it has been difficult to find the money to promote the website and the live show like it needs to be.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My teaching career is fulfilling, but my work with Undiscovered Nashville has become my true passion. It may sound cliché, but the work in the music scene completes me.

What separates us from other similar outlets is I really strive to give a more in depth look at each singer/songwriter we choose to feature. If I choose to write about someone, it is because I believe in their talent but also as a person.

What are your plans for the future?
In the near future, I am planning our 3rd unofficial CMA fest showcase. It will be a spectacular line up of some of country music’s rising talent. It will be at The Greenlight Bar starting at 7 PM on June 4th.

My long term plan is to add a podcast to reach a larger audience to continue building brand awareness. I am also interested in developing more partnerships.
