Conversations with Antranice Phillips

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antranice Phillips. 

Hi Antranice, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Here’s my story… I started doing hair at the age 16, in my mom 2-bedroom apartment in her kitchen, I did about 4-5 heads a day only charging $50 $60 dollars. It was getting me by back then I was only 16,17 I thought that was a lot. I wasn’t the best stylist then but my clients definitely stayed down with me til I came up. My mom then moved into a 4 house I turned her whole garage into my hair space, I did it up pink everything lol, I was comfortable out there too. I did hair there until I couldn’t anymore, I started to look into a SUITE… I found me a nice suite to work into that I could afford weekly, I moved in and stayed there for about a year. I loved it there honestly. After each client waiting on my next client, I use to always sit and think about where & what I wanted to do after I left the suite, I knew I didn’t want to keep paying someone else I mean who does. I wanted to WORK for my own space/building. I literally grinded & worked hard to get my own building. After working there, I knew I wanted to have my OWN building and paint it pink. I turned that into reality. That’s all I use to think about living a lavish, wealthy, successful life for me and my child. All the sleepless nights, spending so much money, losses, it all comes with being an entrepreneur. Patience & hard work is honestly key. It won’t come to you; you have to go get it work for it. Don’t give up even after all the hate I didn’t. I’m now 23 years young making 6 figures, I’m blessed. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Having the support, I have made it smooth for me but a few struggles I had along the way was patience, I wasted lots of unnecessary money trying to rush what god already had waiting for me had I didn’t try to rush it. After so many days actually months of looking for me a building I got a call from the owner where I’m located now asking me to come look at a 1,600 sft building. Man, I was so happy that day. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a 10-year hairstylist, I have a clothing boutique, I’m a party host, etc. I’m mostly known for the “popular girl antro or the famous TikTok stylist” lol. I’m mostly proud of how far I’ve came in life being I went through so much as a teenager from losing my best friend in a car wreck, back and forth in court, I use to fight a lot just so much trouble. I knew it was time to get myself together and tighten up, my whole life did a 360. Nobody seen it coming and I think that’s why I have many haters. 

What sets me apart from others: I’m happy for others, no matter it’s a big accomplishment or a small one. I don’t hate on anyone I definitely clap for others.
