Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Martin.

Hi Ashley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Ashley Martin. I’m the owner of The Glam House Nashville, previously known as Nashville Lashes and Brows. I’m originally from Gadsden, Alabama, but I am now going into my 13th year being a Nashville resident. I love this city so much and everything it has to offer. After attending cosmetology school in 2013, I wanted more than just doing hair and decided to get certified in microblading. I’ve been in business for 5 years and recently expanded and bought a shop in the Nations. We created a unique one-stop shop for all your beauty services. We aim to make clients step foot in our shop and leave feeling their best selves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s certainly been the scenic route on this journey which means bumpy roads but beautiful views. I believe there is always more to offer in the beauty industry, as things are always evolving. I pride myself on continuing education classes to always ensure we have the best knowledge of our services to provide to our clientele. With the growth of Nashville, it’s been a challenge trying to keep up.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The Glam House Nashville offers microblading, combo and powder brows, brow lamination, lash lifts, extensions, hydrafacials, and spraytans. I would say I’m most known for all of my brow services. Microblading is my top service, but now it runs a tight race with the brow lamination and tint. Everyone wants to be able to wake up and go while still looking great. So these services are the best for all busy parents.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew up being involved in sports. I played softball from the time I started in tee ball through college. I had a love for the game, and I miss it so much. Soon after college, I moved to Nashville, where I bartended on broadway for 10 years while I figured out what I wanted to do. As a little girl, I always wanted to have my salon and to see myself now with that little girl’s dreams coming to fruition. I couldn’t be happier than I am now.
