Today we’d like to introduce you to Balentino The 3rd Sun.
Hi Balentino , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I come from a very artistic and musical family . My mother sings jazz , my siblings and I were all in band . I started writing when I was about 10 but didn’t get in a studio until I was 15 ( 2015)
My brother makes film score so in 2015 he built a home studio , allowing me to further purse music .. I started releasing music the next year on SoundCloud under the name Invictus The Wolf God .

Fast forward to 2019 , i change my name to Balentino the 3rd sun or Balé for short .. using word play to pay homage to my family ( Third sun ) – Balentino being a red and white flower , symbolizing passion and purity – Tino , the suffix , is Greek for “ to suffer “ . Symbolizing the necessary trials to achieve my goal .
2019 is also when I started performing around the city , parties , showcases , and a few events I put together myself . Founded a collective , Abstract Underground . And since I have been evolving into the artist and man I am meant to be .
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It never is , nor do I think it’s supposed to be .. as cliche as it sounds .. finding myself and remaining disciplined are probably what I Struggled with most . Along with comparing paths to others on my field .
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an artist first. Music happens to be what I’m best at and what I’ll prioritize to fuel everything else .. I rap or in better terms , I spit . I am very proud of how far I’ve come in that regard, my imagery and word play are where I thrive most I feel like . My versatility is what I feel sets me apart . Simply because I create what I feel . It doesn’t have to be inherently rap .. but truly whatever is in my heart at the time . I’m influenced by a lot
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
This one time I was playing outside with my older brother and his friends . It was like 12 of us with wooden swords and s*** . We divided into teams and charged into each other .. it was immaculate
