Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Weaver
Hi Brian , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2018, I founded Weaver Films, a videography company. But my journey started long before that, when I was young and traveled extensively while playing music in a band. I was deeply passionate about music, and my focus was on writing and performing. I played over 300 shows and even had the amazing opportunity to open for the Plain White T’s at the age of 19. During those early years, I dabbled in creating low-budget music videos to hone my editing skills, despite not having access to high-quality equipment. Then, in 2018, my wife gave me a camera for Christmas that had basic video capabilities. This gift marked the beginning of my foray into photography, starting with family and newborn sessions, and gradually moving into wedding photography. At the time, I was also working at Lowe’s, juggling various odd jobs to make ends meet. Facing financial challenges, we had to downsize and move into a small trailer, where I dedicated my time to building my videography business. The unexpected arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, while tragic for many, proved to be a turning point for me. It provided me with the time and space to truly immerse myself in videography, paving the way for growth and learning. Through numerous trials and setbacks, I mastered the art of creating exquisite wedding films. By the end of the pandemic, I had secured bookings for 15 weddings in 2020, which surged to 56 weddings in the following year, 2021. As of 2025, I have chosen to limit my workload to 30 weddings per year, as quality and creativity are my top priorities over quantity. Along this remarkable journey, I have collaborated with impactful non-profit organizations like the Hope Movement Coalition and Pathway to Freedom, contributing my skills to projects that aim to make a difference in our society. I am humbled to have had the privilege of working with former governors of Arkansas and have encountered numerous opportunities that have enriched my professional and personal life. Reflecting on this extraordinary path, I am filled with gratitude for the challenges and triumphs that have shaped my business and allowed me to follow my passion for storytelling through videography.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely been tough navigating the path of owning your own company. The recent rise in inflation and soaring prices have led many individuals to cut back on expenses, resulting in several challenges along the way.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m Brian Weaver, the videographer and wedding cinematographer at Weaver Films. I specialize in helping clients with testimonials, weddings, and music videos. Recently, I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to film the country band The Roads Below. We shot their music video at night and captured additional footage during the day. I am proud of how it turned out and believe that making the process easy for clients, ensuring they feel in good hands and will receive a high-quality product, sets me apart from others.
How do you think about luck?
I believe we all experience challenging times in life, and we will continue to face both highs and lows. If you maintain consistency and strive to better yourself daily, you can achieve success. Though difficult times are inevitable, we must persevere through them.
