Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Roberts.
Hi Brittany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I developed a passion for weddings specifically right after my own wedding. My husband and I were blessed with an amazing videographer and photographer on our wedding day that captured our day perfectly! I love being able to relive our big day all over again when I watch our film and look at our wedding gallery. That is why I strive to be able to deliver that same experience to all my couples.
I actually started out in wedding videography in 2017. I did my very first wedding for a friend for free, just to see if I liked it and if I was good at it. Well, I was terrible at it, at first. Over the next 3 years, I really developed my love for it and self-taught myself everything I knew. Honestly, my business grew right before my eyes. I feel like I blinked and now I’m where I am. 2020 for me, like many others, brought a huge change. I decided to dip my toes in Wedding Photography and completely let go of videography altogether.
Wedding photography was something I developed a love for while working as a videographer for 3 years. 2021 rolled around and I unexpectedly lost my job which led me to make the scary decision to dive in headfirst with my wedding photography business. I am now closing on my first full year of being a full-time wedding photographer. I truly believe I am exactly where I am meant to be. It was God’s thing. I would have never left the job I had and would have never made this leap into full-time if I hadn’t lost my job.
So for that, I am so very thankful. I absolutely adore what I do and I may be a little biased but I have the absolute best clients!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would love to say it has been smooth sailing but it hasn’t. For some, sure maybe It was easy. For me, it was very difficult. These past 4 years of me being in business have been a whirlwind. Starting out in videography and then quickly realized it wasn’t for me.
Becoming a first-time mother and then losing my job all were just some of the unexpected curve balls life threw at me. Wedding photography really allowed me to find myself.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Nashville & Middle Tennessee-based Wedding Photographer. I developed a passion for weddings specifically right after my own wedding. My husband and I were blessed with an amazing videographer and photographer on our wedding day that captured our day perfectly. I love being able to relive our big day all over again when I watch our film and look at our wedding gallery.
So I strive to be able to deliver that same experience to all my couples. Wedding days will go by so fast, so I am a firm believer in investing in top-quality work that can be cherished for many years to come. Every wedding I capture is unique and therefore every gallery is too.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The biggest way to support my business is by referrals and tagging me in my work on social media is HUGE. The majority of my clients come from social media or from referrals from my previous clients (now friends). It is the biggest compliment to have my clients love my work so much that they choose to share it with the world online.
Anyone can book with me through either one of my social media pages, Facebook and Instagram, as well as through my website.
